I'm about to do it...and I'm nervous.

I need to get somewhere but don't have enough fare for a return. I'm thinking, if I top up my Oyster with half of what I do have, I can use the other half for dinner tonight.

If I get caught, I'm planning on playing it stoopid whilst pushing my breasts together. Think it'll work? If not, I'll just have to walk home, which should take me a good few hours.

Any tips or pointers? I know it's morally wrong but quite frankly, I'm beyond morals at this point.

Sounds filled with fun, adventure and wisening experiences you can tell your grandchildren.....on the other hand, sounds an unsafe choice in these days.

I always used to give a false name and give my address as that of a mental facility - this was for two reasons - firstly when they do the postcode check it comes up as such and because of privacy issues the facility are not allowed to say whether you are or are not a patient there - any fine is sent to the wrong address but no individual is going to be chased for a debt they are not liable (i would hate to do that to someone) and I have often been given a ticket to complete my journey so that I am not hassled by other inspectors on the way home or foiled by those pain in the arse barriers.

I have not used this technique for a v long time though and the address I used to give is no longer viable

I've been looking for a coat that might allow me to blend into the seat fabric should a ticket inspector wander by, but to no avail. I may just try locking myself in the bog until my stop comes along.

BTW, the passenger rail in my state is a sad joke. I checked into a transit to Houston once and it was LITTLE OVER SIX HOURS. I honestly thought my eyes were playing tricks on me and looked twice, then took to the calculator. I can drive to Houston in six hours, why bother with the rail?

The eastern corridor passenger rail is quicker (though not as fast as Europe's, as I understand).

Anyways, lots of luck! Buses are easier to get off than trains, i would think, i have seen heaps of peeps get off in the middle door when the inspecter comes in the front of the bus. A train is different.

Well, I did it!

@ curtaincat, tptb have left a fatal loop-hole in their system of complete automation of everything in that there are now very few ticket inspectors or staff at stations to chase me down the platform and over the fence...not like the good old days.

I'm sure they'll figure a way to close this loop-hole eventually, but for now, you may call me the Ticketless Phantom of West Laaandan.
