I don't think you can change your class........yes if you win £160 million on the lottery you will be wealthier but you don't go from being working class to upper class just because you are rich.

A lot of it has to with attitude and social circles .

The Italian Mafia in the US probs had loads of money but I doubt they moved in circles with the proper upper class

The american Italian mob (and their cousins at the old mother land) work hand in glove with the elite. Same with drug lords, warlords, gang handlers, human traffickers, arms dealers, big cheeses at the sex industry and so on...
