I've never been to a game I'm an armchair fan Well, was an armchair fan, I'm not that much into football anymore, even moreso as Liverpool FC's glory days are a distant memory.

I knew one woman who was suffering from depression and lived in a tower block with 4 kids and she was a single mother. She became a christian and got lots of help from the local evangelical church she went to. They helped her move out into a nice privately rented house.

Also a guy who lived on the streets which i shall call tommo {not his real name} who had lived on the strand in London for alot of years and spending all day begging for money so he could buy drugs . I seen tommo years later after i had cleaned up from the drugs and he looked so healthy had started going to church received alot of help and had even been married and had two kids this was all in a space of less than 6 years.

For whatever reason, I felt caged, claustrophobic and just generally like I shouldn't be there. And that was just the building and the amount of people that were there with me, let alone the artist that was performing.

Not every church is the same, not every service is the same and not every congregation is the same.

Some Christians like the Christian rock and the tambourines but I don't. I am not really a fan of gospel music and pastors making passionate tirades.

Some Christians prefer a Tridentine Mass all sung in Latin. While it is beautiful, that is pretty hard core too.

I love a Mass amongst the monks and lay people of the Passionist Monastery when the sun is still irsing over the fields and the sheep that graze arounf the cross outside.
