Oh, dear.

This is very embarrassing. :emb: I live in this town.

Ashleigh and Pudsey meet their fans in Waterstones
The author at a book-signing in a town centre store was like a dog with a bone.
Well, in fact it was a dog, but it was no ordinary canine.
It was Pudsey, the winner of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent programme.
The six-year-old border collie, bichon frise and Chinese crested cross visited Waterstones in Broad Street to put his paw print on copies of his new “autobidography”.
www.getreading.co.uk/news/s/2123857_ashl..._fans_in_waterstones

It's a fucking dog.

Only a Godzilla facepalm will suffice.

I'm guessing this is a national thing and not just localised numpitry.

That could possibly be the least amusing pun of all-time.
The true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how high he rises in this freak establishment. The true measure of a man is this: how quickly he can respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give - Philip K. Dick.

Don't worry hugo, we should all be embarrassed by this. Although if I were you, I'd definiately move. Immediately.

Cheryl Dibden, events co-ordinator at Waterstones Broad Street, said: “As you can imagine it was an absolute delight and unusual because I’ve not had an animal author here before.

“I’ve never had to ask as events co-ordinator if the author has any particular dog biscuit requirements.”

I take it Courtney Love hasn't done a book signing there. BOOM!

I'm considering moving north next year. This area blows.

Perfectly acceptable use of the word considering the place being discussed. ;)

It's mainly Simon Cowell who should feel deep shame, but he wouldn't recognise the word if it were tattooed on his retina.

I'm far more prepared to believe a border collie cross wrote a book than I'm prepared to believe Jordan/Katie Price ever did.

Jhado, may I suggest 'twunt' as a compromise. :)

I suspect the collie has read more books than her as well.

The collie can probably spell book as well.
