We haven't put ours up yet. We only have a tree these days.

I don't know quite when the "official" day to put them up actually is.

We bought new lights for the tree today...that always looks nice...well, the multicoloured ones do. I'm not a huge fan of uniform, one colour efforts, especially those blue ones...bit minimalist and wanky :D
Christmas decs and that, should strike a nice balance between gaudy and cosy.

Christmas... :dunno: gives me mixed feelings :chuckle:

I'm not Christian and don't personally celebrate Christmas as a result.
I do dig the whole Winter get together thing though and don't impose my lack of Christmas spirit on the kids.

That won't mean I'll be putting up decorations though.

As long as I can hold the demon off... he's been bugging since Halloween was over for me to get the tree up :facepalm: if I had my way, it'd go up the day before Yule and come down the day after Christmas.
I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone elses blood
and I have no problem with going out the same way :twisted:

I have the best tree in the world ever. Every year. True story. A real old fashioned looking one that's adorned year in with all the things the kids have made me over the years amongst other things. It's the tree of many colours... just like a real christmas tree should be.

You people out there who colour co-ordinate your tree to match your living room shouldn't be allowed to have christmas at all. And the ones who narrow it down to either 2 or 3 colours only, should be fucking lynched :coffee:

90% of the stuff adorning our tree was made by the eldest. :cool:
