I can't watch that type of vid, I'll end up wanting to slap the perps about.

Is it too much to expect that they were caught.

I find it arrogant because the perps think it's funny...

I doubt they would have done that to a human like it was some funny joke.

No wonder most people i know are all turning into Atheist.

Considering what is going on in Syria right now i doubt the perps even got reprimanded Hugo...

I'm very much an animal lover, but when people talk of all life having equal value, how do you feel about pubic lice & tape worms - or even slugs & moles that ruin crops & make a mess?

Or ticks or virii.

Philip has said he'd like to come back as a virus and wipe out 90% of the human race, RA will like that bit of info lol.

Ticks are awful! What purpose do they have aside from making other living creatures miserable and spreading disease?

Most of the time, when I'm squashing a spider or scorpion, I say I'm sorry while I'm crushing the life out of them. I feel a little bad but if you've ever had an infestation in your house- well, it kinda boils down to you or them.

Ticks are fuggin disgusting. You often get them clinging on in places you would rather not see such a thing tbh....pulling them off is just that much more tricky.

I'm surprised this is even a scientific discovery tbh, wasn't it obvious really?

I'd have thought so - just like I've never in my life believed the fisherman's claim that hooks don't hurt fish.

I liked fishing for mackeral when I was in my teens - but we ate them, and didn't do it for 'sport'. To me there's a difference. And we didn't lie to ourselves in an effort to assuage our consciences. When you see a fish fighting to get off the hook, you know it has a strong life-force that you're robbing it of.

If you are eating the fish then I have no qualms provided that you do it responsibly and maintain the population.

If you are fishing for entertainment then, yeah. Do crosswords instead.

This is very true. I've never fished for sport or pleasure. I've done it a few times for food and very rarely.
When the fish comes out I smartly put my finger in its mouth and bend its neck back sharply :/
I hate seeing fishermen leaving them slapping about for minutes.

I live here under the law that Im suppoesed to live under...thou shalt not kill unless they deserve it( or required for food) , that goes for animals as well. Only animals I kill on sight are spiders, thats if Im brave enough to get close to shoe throwing ranger or manage to put some gloves on and squash them with a broom. Had it before when I thought I killed them and the fuckers run up the handle, so one big scream, one dropped broom, and 2 tracks of scorched carpet where Ive run away :emb:

But to think that animals are on par with a human :killinme: The test is save the animal or your FAMILY ;)

Animals are way more adapt at survival on a natural setting. We raised ours to the highest husbandry possible, gave them a good life that humans would envy, the best food and also butchered them for our own survival.

Many animals are way more than a match for man, there is an old saying that grandfather used to use. Wheather the weather be good or be bad, the wheather will sometimes chase the farners lad, take your eyes off of the ram in season and your asking for trouble if he is that way inclined, as I found out whilst feeding them one morning, took my eyes off the job, bang, lights almost out.

Try taking a calf off the mother after 24 hours and you can be dicing with death, take dog into a group of cattle etc, we are no equals I can tell you.

Our neighbours has a Jersey dairy herd, they had a sign on the field boundry, saying, beware of the bull, if you get caught in the middle of the fields without any footpaths, just make sure you can cross it in 9 because billy can do it in 10, I tell you those Jersey bulls were very very quick and will kill you without a gun.
