It's the ultimate humility but I doubt most humans understand the implications of what it really means.

I reckon you may actually be wrong with the use of the word 'most' in that sentence tbh.

Well that is interesting to ponder. By your statement do you mean that living creatures give life the same value or all creatures lives are worth the same?

This is the most half-assed attempt at a thread I think I have ever seen.

That's open to interpretation because assuming all creatures lives are worth the same is very controversial.

Okay, maybe I was being a little harsh, but you didn't say what you thought the implications were and I just have the feeling that you won't either. But I would really like you to prove me wrong.

There is alot of creatures on the earth and to say one is more or less valuable then another is controversial.

I often go to report a topic when I intend to quote.

I am a vegetarian and I don't wear leather etc but then if a cat and a baby were in a fire I would save the baby first I think. I also think a cat might save itself rather than help me. Although I appreciate animals also do show great "humanity" at times. I also imagine that there are humans that might save a cat first over a baby human and also humans that might let them all burn. So the value is relative I think. It depends on lots of stuff.

I love cats, but I would never save one before a baby. I really can't imagine anyone doing that. That would be so weird and probably chargeable.

Years ago, there was a news report about a calico cat named scarlett and she saved every one of her baby kittens, one by one out of a burning building and she was blinded, burned and scarred. That shows you how much heart animals have. That is something not all people understand.

That's a good example...

If a person kills 20 cockroaches with a chemical spray is that any different than what Adam Lanza did?

Does the universe judge them the same or is religion just another form of human arrogance.

I don't even know how to answer that. Is it a two parter question or are those things connected?

Would you kill a cockroach?

It's not a two part question if we consider all creatures of the Earth to have an equal value of life.

I kill bugs and scorpions if they come into my living space (but I don't use sprays).

You think that makes me arrogant?

Please tell me the value of a cockroach or else I cannot take you seriously.
