Hi Rick, long time, no see. I am bolding the huge red flags for you.
Rick wrote:
Why would a person seem to want to control your life or tell you what is good for you and the way things should be,
Or the way things should be from their point of view.
Rick wrote:
Do they .................

a. Think your a dumb ass and don't know whats best for yourself

b. Just doing what they want to do and your the means to a end and screw how you feel?

c. Actually just care about you but have a over aggressive personality and you think their a bitch at times?
Others are right, you don't even particularly like this person, or you wouldn't be writing this and asking for a second opinion.
Rick wrote:
d. Doesn't understand why you are standoffish with them?
Lacks empathy if she can't see things from your pov. Or, maybe she does and considers it to be insignificant.

If you were a woman, you would probably be told that you are dealing with a possible narcissist who is also emotionally abusive and that you deserve better because they sound like a total wanker. She is probably insecure, but that's her problem because she is in the wrong and who cares why? People like this will just rob you of who you are and destroy your self esteem over time. They won't change, you can't fix them. Running others down and controlling them is their modus operandi. Just because she's the woman and you're the man, that doesn't mean that you can't end up being in an abusive relationship. The behaviours I highlighted are all common aspects of emotional and psychological abuse.

I've got some vague recollection that there's some activity you can engage in when you're not single that you can't do on your own.

I can't remember what it is, though. It can't be that important.

My fella told me that if you sit on your hand for long enough it will go completely numb, then it feels like someone elses. :chuckle:

I'd feel like a bit of an idiot sitting on my hand. But that doesn't mean I'm not willing to give it a go...

A mutual like for each other , good compatibility, and common interests that to me would be more than enough good traits between people

Some even say that retired whores make the best wives or serious live in mates.

Isn't this what's it's all about, not ending up alone, and mad and super paranoid so yo have to take a chance, doesn't mean you should expect any long term just live in the moment.
