On the MMR thread I made a very fucking mild dig at WUB - characteristic of his control freak nature and jumbo sized glass ego, he demanded it be deleted. probably because it also contained a request for an (unimportant) source he seemingly couldn't provide (except him saying the same thing elsewhere). You come to expect that kind of behaviour off him - if that guy had power, he'd be very dangerous.

To my astonishment, the post has actually been deleted.

My post was not insulting, abusive or remotely like stuff that gets posted here every single day. so what I want to know is how come when WUB says jump the mods ask how high and behave in a totally inconsistent manner in relation to the rest of the forum. Are you lot shagging him or something?

It's not the actual event - it's the principle.

I doubt wub has bothered to ask the mods about it, you can see I've quoted the post you mean thats deleted though (as I pointed out the yahoo article shows it was from the daybreak programme) so yes it deffo has gone.

I didn't facilitate this particular action but if requested to I would have. Our job is to apply the rules the community decides upon as and when the community requests we do, a request was made to uphold a rule, it was upheld.

The way I see it the rule is there to protect people who don't want to be abused, that doesn't mean some members aren't more tolerant of abuse than others, as your examples illustrate, and therefore your right to be abusive remains intact.

And a good WUM knows when to stop.
