People should read Vizier's posts as they are completely correct.
My position remains unchanged. I guarantee 100% that I won't attack anyone else or make personal remarks about people. I consider this childish. I don't think this contributes to "a pleasant atmosphere of mutual respect." Which is after all the only reason the forum was set up. I can go back to the DIF and get slagged off by people, that's no problem. This isn't an option for everyone.
If people make personal remarks about me or attack me, in any thread for that matter, but particularly if it's in a thread I started, then I reserve the right to report the posts and have them deleted.
If the majority of people don't like that rule which has already been agreed on, then I will simply leave. There will be no point in me being here.
This will remain my position whether this thread goes on for 300, 400, 500 or 1,000 posts. I haven't reported any of the personal attacks on me in this thread in a vain attempt to prevent one single, solitary post being deleted from being blown out of all proportion.
In the meantime, I will post constructively as normal, but if it's necessary for me to repeat this again, just in case there's any confusion, then I will.
Whereas I consider a total inability to cope with extremely mild sarcastic remarks, well....kinda fasincating.,
I guess I'm repeating myself, but I think it's simlpy a matter of mods behaving sensibly.
If people are upset by another poster, the mod should act to arbitrate. If one party is being an asshole and won't stop they should act
As I said before, what you seem to be demanding means either -
a/ You get some kind of special treatment because you're abnormally sensitive to what people say to you, to a really quite astonishing degree as far as this incident is concerned.
b/The mods act in a consistent fashion and to all intents and purposes banter is outlawed.
You go on about 'the rules', but no 'rule' was broken unless you take 'the rules' to a ludicrous degree that would render the forum essentially a dour, strictly formal affair.
I think you really ought to loosen up a little. If you were any more rigid you'd shatter the next time you stubbed your toe.
And you do attack people WUB. You do it in a veiled, passive aggressive way. You may wish to recall that the last time I was involved (to my knowledge) in posts being deleted (which I didn't agree with but in that instance wasn't such an issue) was when I pulled you up over making a sly little dig at me. You may act holier than thou, but you certainly are not. You're just a lot let honest and more subtle about your attacks than most.
I still don't understand this 'I own a thread I start' notion. Can anyone explain the supposed rationale?
