It appears not sincere when RB behaves differently to his words in such ways as hob knobbing with the elite and participating in public spectacles when on both cases his written and spoken 'narrative' is to disagree with such things.
'elites and concentrations of wealth' ...his GF is a millionaire.
'Public spectacles'..... Olympic ceremony.
hypocrite perhaps?

In 2002, Khan was listed at number 18 with £20m on the Evening Standard's young millionaires list.] In 2010, she purchased the country house of Kiddington Hall near Woodstock in Oxfordshire for a reported £15 million
Oh Russy we hate concentrations of wealth don't we darling...
As I said previously, I think it is not wise to go out with a Goldsmith. Surely pointing out some of the problems with the existing system is better than saying "well, I'm okay, so fuck everyone else", or even asking for more privileges, as the top banks and corporations do?

Also, as I said previously, if it was a tramp up there on Newsnight, all the people who are being critical of Brand would say "well, you're a tramp, of course you're pissed off with 'the system'". You really can't win either way.

I don't really have any faith in RB whatsoever, and I don't really trust anyone, but I don't really think it's fair to slag someone off because they've got money. I hang on to what money I've got, and I would like to think if I had the sort of money he had that I'd do something big to help the less fortunate, I do something small now, but I can't possibly claim that I'd give every penny away, and I doubt anyone else would either. That doesn't mean I don't want to see a more level playing field in society, in fact the existing society sickens me. If I appeared on Newsnight, would it be thrown back in my face that I have more savings than most people in Britain (not in itself difficult when the average household savings are about £1,500)? I can remember Chumbawamba being slated in the press for talking about social issues, while owning a house and apparently being 'middle-class'. Who exactly is entitled to an opinion?

I was not really referring to Brands personal wealth, only that he hob knobs with other wealthy people and even some elites.
RB is entitled to his opinion regardless of his wealth, of course he is.

Yes perhaps more people are discussing the elites now, even John Major has been piping up, even though there was more public school educations in his government than there is in Cameron's, I hear.

The problem is not whether RB is a tramp or a reasonably wealthy man, where he falls down imo is pointing out the unbalanced tipping of wealth towards the elite, but befriends the elite.

It would be like me pointing out that I don't think RB is sincere and then be seen to be slapping his back saying ''you're so genuine darling''
(that's for you feather)

It's the inconsistency between his words and his actions that make him seem to be not sincere to me, nothing to do with his personal wealth or his choice of girlfriend apart from the fact that she's an 'elite'
No thanks. I don't like blubber

Just goes to show that no matter how much success one achieves, a working class kid is still just an upstart.

The saddest thing is that some of his fellow working class folk can not wait to tear him down. Maybe they just deep down, want things the way they are

Nowt like playing the man instead of the ball eh....

Article 2317388 197FD145000005DC 819 634x475

it's not playing the man and not the ball, what you appear to be doing is concentrating on RB's verbal and written word, and missing out the rest of what is communicated in other ways, if you want to use clichés that's up to you.

If we're going to look at RB's stance for social revolution we need to asses his behaviour not only his written and verbal words, if you want to condemn such holistic observations as 'playing the man not the ball' again that's up to you, what some appear to be doing is watching the 'shiny' whilst the other hand is doing the opposed to the 'narrative'.

The working class kid is hob knobbing with the elite as he slags them off ! :killinme:
I don't need to tear him down, I only look at the inconsistencies between his words and his actions, he tears himself down, I merely highlight his own judgements because he himself appears to not live by them.

This constant desire to decipher his non-verbal communication hasn't got you very far though has it?
He was at the Olympics.
He's shagging Jemima.
He upset Manuel.
Is that it?
This is precisely what I was referring to......... you've offered up nothing of any real substance to discredit him and haven't offered a word of argument about what he actually said - which is after all the point of the thread, not just slagging him off, which you've not even done with any degree of credibility.
Set the controls for the heart of the earth.

Some of them are perfectly delightful people for whom the system has worked to their advantage. Not all people born of privilege and wealth are arseholes either just as earning less than 10 grand a year or being on benefits does not automatically mean you are a decent and deserving person who has more right to air their opinions than someone else.

What I appreciate about brand is that he 'knows' himself, 'owns' his mistakes and does not attempt to remove himself from them or airbrush his flaws.

If nothing else he has gotten people thinking about and talking about issues on a scale that icke and others have not managed. For that alone he gets kudos from me.

RB seems to have been handed more mainstream airtime to present his views than Icke or others, I can't help but wonder that his gf got him a story in The New Statesman, from there came Newsnight etc....
So is it not his elite gf that is giving him a push along, perhaps next we'll have Prince William joining in and we can all say that 'willies woken up'
Now in all seriousness RB has highlighted the issues with the political system, it would be more apparently authentic if he actually lived in the UK.
If RB does not want to use his vote then that's up to him, who or why is he getting him airtime to convince others to agree with his concerns?

I honestly even though I am suspicious about D/I and TPV think that RB is being willingly used to counter D/I etc.... by being invited by the MSM to air his views, weeks prior to TPV launching.

All this non compliance to vote is very unlikely to occur any time soon at a scale broadened by RB but it's likely that until all this RB stuff does subside TPV's launch will be diluted by it.

We must ask ourselves what did happen to RB, he says he's woken up, but I find it very hard to believe that he would not have already have known the things that he is recently discussing sometime ago.

So it's not new to RB that the political system stinks and that elites are who they are, the only thing new is RB's 'Messiah Complex' show.
It seems that getting into his comedy show role has induced him to further explore these concepts.
I think often when public people say that they have woken up, what they really mean is, I have decided to stop acting like a twat.

I know enough people that disagree with most conspiracy theories or truthers opinions, they could be seen as not awake, but even they know that the political system stinks and that elites have control over politics.

I suppose I could praise RB for banging the drum on television but then television induces a hypnotic state and damages peoples minds so why listen to that cunt on it.

In an experiment in 1969, Herbert Krugman monitored a person through many trials and found that in less than one minute of television viewing, the person’s brainwaves switched from Beta waves– brainwaves associated with active, logical thought– to primarily Alpha waves. When the subject stopped watching television and began reading a magazine, the brainwaves reverted to Beta waves.

One thing this indicates is that most parts of the brain, parts responsible for logical thought, tune out during television viewing. The impact of television viewing on one person’s brain state is obviously not enough to conclude that the same consequences apply to everyone; however, research involving many others, completed in the years following Krugman’s experiment, has repeatedly shown that watching television produces brainwaves in the low Alpha range
www.wiseupjournal.com/?p=947

Get off the box russy, if you're interested in consciousness you ought to know about alpha and beta waves, and that watching television produces brainwaves in the low Alpha range.

Crikey, you really are desperate to disparage, aren't you!

Good thing you spotted how very ridiculous it is that a person who works in the media should employ the most popular medium that reaches most people, to say what he wants heard.

No thanks I don't like blubber.

Someone interested in consciousness and that of others would communicate with people when their minds are in a logical state, RB obviously either does not know this, thus he is not awake, or he is awake and communicates to people whilst they are logically asleep

Kin'ell does someone have a Brand fixation or what?

NEWSFLASH!!!!!
Not everyone in a social group, ethnic origin or sharing a surname are the same.
Believing dangerous simpleton shit like that gets you categories of folks obligated to wear arm bands and/or patches.

I've known monied people who were lovely and concerned, some went about their thing quietly, others used their status to draw attention, both approaches made a difference.

I've known working class folks who would take the sugar out of your tea and others who would do without rather than see someone else short.
Money does not buy you character.

i disagree icke has had plenty of mentions and time in the msm, the difference being brand addressed something people felt an affinity with icke did not hen he was given a platform.

i suspect that jemima believed brand had something of worth to say or she would not have asked hm to participate in the statesman, maybe she agrees with him, maybe she also feels things need to change but felt he was the person to voice it - it is just as plausible as any other theory as to why.

if anything brands interest in alternatives and peoples agreement or not will result in more people searching out information rather than the opposite, I doubt the establishment are worried about tpv at all.
I suppose I could praise RB for banging the drum on television but then television induces a hypnotic state and damages peoples minds so why listen to that cunt on it.
which begs the question wtf is tpv all about then...
