It seems people, when talking about spiritual matters always blur the concepts that they are talking about.

Specifically when talking about the "I" it doesn't matter whether the concept is reincarnation, Karma or Judgment day.

And the confusion always comes with thinking that the ego "I" is the entity that matters, people have a real hard time in realising that the ego entity isn't actually there, or if it is actually there it is totally transient and wasn't there when they were born and will die when the body extinguishes.

Which leaves the atheists amongst us with the unenviable position of being totally temporary, at least in their own mind

So, if the ego is temporary and dies with the body, what is left?

Nothing according to the atheists.

But for the rational people amongst us, what is left?

For those with understanding and experience of the soul, it seems obvious.

So wouldn't the soul be the most important aspect of us and wouldn't it make sense to submit to that knowledge?

Sometimes...but sometimes its more fun to carry on pretending however.

I wouldn't necessarily view any kind of communication with the soul as 'submission', either.

It would be like saying a microphone submits to the person using it. It doesn't...it just is a microphone.

Only real difference with us is, we can be consciously aware of it or choose to ignore. The 'communication' is ever present, no matter what.
