My childhood in picture form:

Hours upon hours of entertainment, along with the magical ingredient 'imagination'. And not a battery or socket in sight.

Bliss.

Now ask me how I got so fucking weird. GO ON! ASK ME!!

A-PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTT!

I literally remember sitting in my little bouncy chair watching this.

These are what I grew up with. Ah the memories
Bill & Ben the Flowerpot men (& Weeeeeed)

Andy Pandy

The Woodentops

An entire episode devoted to our beloved Psketti.

And the radio version, QS..."Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin..."

Spudguns. They were great. And the 'caps' that you had to tear off a rolled-up strip that came in a tiny circular cardboard box that was either red or green, that made the spudgun go bang. If you stamped on a cap properly it would go bang anyway, I loved the smell.

And The Clangers.
And The Pogles too.

i did not use my kids as an excuse to sit and watch this. That's a LIE!

Sort of, ish

It's a Commodore Amiga, in case you can't tell. Swanky.

I read lots of the books I'd loved as a kid to my little sister, then to my own kids.

Goblino the Witch's Cat; The Wind in the Willows; Charlotte's Web; 101 Dalmatians; Peter Pan; all the Moomintroll ones; Roald Dhal's stuff.

It's all flooding back to me now...damn you, Feather. You've unzipped me, man! Damn your eyes...

Mother Abs went through a bit of a phase in the eighties. Consequently, so did I.

Stupid bitch.
