You might think your wearing the latest gear but most likely it's a few hundred or even thousands of years out of fashion.

Medieval period-

Any other examples appreciated, from any period.

I can't remember the last time I bought new clothes - my current wardrobe is almost, quite literally, medieval in age.

ETA: If I joined one of those historical re-enactment groups I could turn up in my normal clothes and not look out of place :D

Very true - I noticed that fashion ressurection every decade or so. Mind you, I don't think the Icke Mullet will ever make it back into fashion.

I'm just waiting for the postman's shorts look to become mainstream:

Postmanparagon0

Although it would mean a near constant state of arousal for me, I'd be willing to make that sacrifice in the name of fashion. :rab:

Think Bowie had a Feather Cut - apparently. Not a true Mullet.
But what do I know. I never cut my hair or shave.
That way if war breaks out I can plait my head and beard hair into a nice chain mail helmet a la the Normans - fashionable guys the Normans.

Got a couple of old guys round here who wear shorts all year round - I don't know if they are just hard (In the tough context :) ) or have some pervy thing going on. As you allude to Abs

I was considering this, but I'm a bit thin on top. I've been getting a lot of "upside down head" cracks lately. But if I let my head hair grow out, I risk looking a bit like Krusty the clown.

What's a girl to do? :dunno:

I've never alluded to anything, ever. I know not of what you speak. :umm:

The only reason I wear shorts perennially is because I am a double-hard bastard, as you alluded to.

Nothing sexual about it whatsoever. Honest.

This really isn't my bag, but this young lady is doing things for me (mainly because I'd quite like to own her outfit):

I have a bit of an affinity for all things 50s, but I reckon most of my era do, albeit secretly. Anything post 70s just seems so drab and conformist in comparison.

Never heard of a comb over abs? Or are you at the double comb over stag - my heart goes out to you. Failing that a can of matt black from Halfords can be convincing in the right light.

As for the shorts - if you wear pants underneath.....I'll take back the "perv" allusion.
However if you are a hang loose typa girl - I respectfully decline tea and crumpet at chez vouz. Or pin those knees firmly together.

Don't worry. Perv is a moniker I've worn quite proudly for some years.

Pants, you say? :chin:
