Is that it! I can hear everyone shouting at their tv's as they watch the various news channels reporting on the prospective presidential candidates. Trump and Hillary are the best that the US can offer its people. If I wasn't laughing I would cry!
It is laughable that anybody would choose either or.
It's sad that most people will.
The media frenzy around it is horrible..... and portrays a complete false dichotomy.
The media focusses so closely on these 2, as if there is no option but to choose between 2 types of evil. Paying people to come on their programs to attack or defend the other. And at the end of the day, the success off the campaigns will be measured on how much spin each can create to get people to choose between them.
It's grim. Life, eh?
America seems to be "done for" though, doesn't it? It seems to be in a real downward spiral, and living an "international war movie" starring millions of loco "patriots" who have been brainwashed to stand hand on heart every morning and swear allegiance to a piece of cloth since earth childhood.
They were never a far-sighted people, but now they seem not to see anything at all except the big productions of the media circus shows.

I think it's very interesting in some respects from a underprivileged persons point of view.
I view Trump as being a person who has lead a very privileged lifestyle and reflects this via his comments which are honest in regards to his lifestyle and upbringing.
From my experiences i consider him to be blunt and accurate regarding the women he has made comments about.
Hilary Clinton has lead a privileged lifestyle also but does not reflect this in her comments she gives to the media and reflects a more dishonest persona.
I think Clinton is and will destroy him in a political sense via having a more damaged psychosis.
By the way, I have never seen Finnish mainstream media make such a fuss about some foreign election before. When ever I hear a radio or TV being open its all Trumping Hitlery ad nauseaum. I have a hunch that somebody has paid certain media outlets to push this pseudo-political puppet show. I have never heard a debate on Finnish radio before about who's better than the other. Its almost as if US (s)elections are ours in some weird way.
Choosing between Trump and Hitlery is like flipping a coin made out of shit, no matter which side comes up, its still shit.
The things you leave behind, you find in front of you.
At least the patterns of voting seem to be reflecting the disenfranchised.....
But how many thick bastards can people be fooled into voting for?
There must be numerous people of reasonable intellect and not necessarily wealthy that could do the job.... but time & time again, it's vote in the thick rich bastard.
It's a frightening reflection of how ill people really are.
I'm getting pissed off about this shit! It seems that most people have completely lost their marbles with the whole US selection thing.... I'm getting hammered with Trump, Hitlery, Hitlery, Trump bs like there's no tomorrow! For fucks sake I do not give a DARNED SHAIT about who's in charge, the speaking heads make nopdecisions anyway!
And besides, choosing between Hitrely and Trump is like having to choose your method of execution, by hanging or by shooting, regardless of which you pick, you will be dead. Fuck this political mumbo jumbo media assault!
The things you leave behind, you find in front of you.
It gets extremely boring if you've been on the planet for a while. 4-8 years down the line, the media will tell everyone after the Trump presidency that America needs change, and two more compromised individuals will be rolled out to continue with the farcical theatre.
Meanwhile, the United States is now very close to $20 trillion in debt:
US unfunded liabilities nearly $105 trillion:

Speaking of dept and Trump and the future of good old US of A.... Here's a nice theme song for it.
"Foreclosure Of A Dream"
Rise so high, yet so far to fall
A plan of dignity and balance for all
Political breakthrough, euphoria's high
More borrowed money, more borrowed time
Backed in a corner, caught up in the race
Means to an end, ended in disgrace
Perspective is lost in the spirit of the chase
Foreclosure of a dream
Those visions never seen
Until all is lost, personal Holocaust
Foreclosure of a dream
Barren land that once filled a need
Are worthless now, dead without a deed
Slipping away from an iron grip
Nature's scales are forced to tip
The heartland dies, loss of all pride
To leave ain't believing, so try and be tried
Insufficient funds, insanity and suicide
Foreclosure of a dream
Those visions never seen
Until all is lost, personal Holocaust
Foreclosure of a dream
[Solo - Mustaine:]
"The congress will push me to raise taxes and I'll say
'No, read my lips, read my lips, read my lips' "
Now with new hope, some will be proud
This is no hoax, no one pushed out
Receive a reprieve and be a pioneer
Break new ground of a new frontier
New ideas will surely get by
No deed, or dividend. Some may ask "Why?"
You'll find the solution, the answers in the sky

I can't say I remember Reagan's early years, but he had a very positive image in the States and won an absolutely massive landslide victory in 1984, much as the not dissimilar Thatcher was popular in the UK. That was enough to carry George H. W. Bush through to victory in 1988.
By 1992, it was evident that something was wrong, Bush was 'out of date', so then Bill Clinton was wheeled out with his populist, everyman appeal. There is a video of that time in which Bill Hicks is talking about the affairs he was having at that time, and how people's eyes glaze over when the trillions of government debt are brought up (which it rarely is by the mainstream media):
So then Clinton was president for a while, but by the end of the decade nothing had got better for the average person and there was a dissatisfaction with Washington. So Clinton had to be brought down, so now the affairs came home to roost. Eventually, people concluded that Clinton 'had embarrassed America' and thus Bush represented change at that time, being deemed conservative, etc.
After eight years of Bush, it was evident that he was a complete disaster and nothing had got better for the average person, so now we needed change once more. What better symbol of change than the first ever black president. Obama swept to victory promising to change everything, and offering 'hope'.
After eight years of Obama, it became evident once again that nothing had got better for the average person, and along came Donald Trump, promising to 'make America great again'.
Eight years from now, possibly four years if the Trump presidency is particularly disastrous, it will once again become evident that change is needed, and some candidate will be dragged up, usually from nowhere and thus grateful for the opportunity of the presidency, and will offer what are perceived to be different values to Trump.
The reason the Clinton campaign failed is contained in a BBC article:
Clinton struggled always to neatly encapsulate her vision of America again. "Stronger together" was never as snappy as "Make America great again." Indeed, the Clinton campaign went through dozens of possible slogans, which spoke of her difficulties in crafting a message.
She couldn't come up with a slogan because she had nothing to offer, whereas Trump, while equally having nothing to offer, can just say that he represents change, as Obama did, as Bush did, as Clinton did, as Reagan did, and the desperate public will once more buy into it.
As I say, it gets quite boring to watch.

I said it somewhere recently that after the campaign and the (s)election is done with, very soon, it will just be business as usual. What I sill wonder is, how in heck are Finns so nuts about the whole case and why is our media bombarding us with this stuff. I have never seen US election being used by Finnish media like this before. I don't know what's the agenda here but somebody really wants people here to pay attention for some reason. Perhaps to divert attention from domestic problems such as huge unemployment, exploding immigration and stupid ass wanker politicians who are busy selling us off to the highest bidder? Who know, but the US selection garbage has been really blown out of proportions.
And ditto about all this shit being boring as heck as its just bye to the old boss, welcome in the new one. Slaves getting to vote in the next master.
The things you leave behind, you find in front of you.
I'm not sure there is so much an agenda, just that there is so much media to fill nowadays. And obviously the media can't talk about anything relevant or constructive, so they have to focus on something.

To be fair it is quite big worldwide news..... a totally unhinged lunatic, possibly more unhinged than any previous president and one seemingly willing to press the red button at random depending on who he's been reading about in the paper.... is now running a country which militarily speaking is the most dangerous on the planet.
An awful lot of grief could come of this.

It is news of course... But worth plastering over EVERYTHING for weeks? In godforsaken Finland even? We're the most insignificant little backwoods country with very few people and still media makes United States election to be the most important news for weeks.... All while there's lot of other stuff going on which would be much more important to hype about. Oh well, the media is bought and sold anyway.
Trump is crazy mofo that's for sure, but I don't think Hitlery Clinton is any better, actually I think she could be even worse. If there's something comforting, Trump seems to be in Putins pocket for now, so he's probably not going to rattle sabers with Russia right now. Or who knows, it takes awfully little for that to change.
My prediction for the next four years is that nothing will change, same old show will just keep rolling on. USA will continue its slow downward spiral, new wars and conflicts will be started, people will get fucked up just as they have been getting fucked for years. (I wonder what is Trumps view on Indians.)
