Yeh I'd certainly like to see some of the 'old guard' kept around to smooth the transition & keep the traditions & style of play.
I'm not going to be happy with Moyes, & I don't think a lot of supporters will be that pleased.
If it is him, I'll happily give him a chance though. (because it's my choice!) Maybe he dos have what it takes to step up to the plate - but I think it's a big gamble.

Long ball might work at OT, with the players available I'm sure they could adapt to pretty much any style of football - but if he is appointed hopefully he'll adapt a more dynamic & modern approach. He'll have to, because that style of play easily gets rumbled.

Ferguson is Man United. It would be a miracle if a new guy comes in and keeps the momentum and winning mentality going imo. The sheer length of time Fergie has been at the club is kind of the problem perhaps. Will the ship without the captain sail as well? We'll have to wait and see who comes in and what they do, and if the players like him and all that.
I'm going to miss the old git in a way :chuckle:

I'd like to see a team in this country give Pellegrini a chance, or even Ronald De Boer. De Boer must be bored of winning the Dutch pub league by now and he'd probably bring Bergkamp as a coach.

How about this for a revelation?
Former Newcastle striker and Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer: "If it wasn't for my love of Newcastle then I would've had to sign for Sir Alex. I was that close I'd actually found a house in Manchester."
I'm glad that didn't happen because the league would have been absolutely pointless if Shearer had played for United.

Talking the 70's mate, when United were shite, the favourite song on terraces was "we're gonna win fuck all again this year".

But when they were in the 2nd division, I didn't miss a single away game, and the pies were never as good anywhere else in them thar days as they were at Old Trafford. Never tasted the pies at Leeds, everyone was to busy throwing them at each other.
