He should never have missed game ball and should be having a night off but it just means I get to see him a wee bit more. Played well though :D

Can't wait for Judd to get rid of that pompous has-been and even more so after reading that link from WUB the other day. The fact that I now know that god speaks to him when he's around the table, I'm not ashamed to say that god got a fair amount of abuse thrown at him last night as well as Murphy :gleek:

I'm sort of pleased for Bingham, as losing 13-1 would have been pretty embarrassing. Hopefully Ronnie can get it over with before the football this evening.

As for Ding...well that's another bet down the drain! It's a good job I hedged my bets.

Havnt had a bet for ages but decided to have a go on the snooker.

I now have guaranteed profit no matter who wins through arbitrage.

What a deciding frame! Gripping stuff, loved every second of that one :D Some lovely safety play from Judd, those two shots in behind the blue. It's not all about century breaks, I love a good dramatic tactical frame, all the better when it's a deciding one :chuckle:

Yay post 147! :P

Did Ronnie win, the tension is killing me, and he plays a german team in the final with Schumacher driving and jessica ennis as referee, in a canoe?

I'm a big sports fan

He should have sent his kids to a comp.

Well, you know, he says daft stuff sometimes. Let's wait and see what happens. What he has said is in no way consistent with what he said before the tournament.

"I'm a competitor and I hate losing. I will fight to the death. They'll have to scrape me off the table."

:D

Who knows if he'll retire or not? It's always sad to see any sporting legend retire, but they can't go on forever. He's still competitive though, and if I was in his position, as long as I was still competitive, I'd more than likely keep competing, especially in the World Championship.

This is the problem with single-player sports. I don't think he enjoys the pressure, though. I think you can see that in his demeanour sometimes. I'm not sure why, it's obviously just part of his character. I'm not sure he will quit, though, what else is he going to do?

If I was as good at snooker as he is, I would never do anything else! What would be the point? I'd be targeting ten world titles! I'd be aiming to win it when I was 50!

Exactly my point. There's no reason why he can't keep going for a few years yet. Maybe he's pissed off at being the supposed "saviour" of snooker. Maybe he's genuinely lost the passion for it. We'll have to wait until next years championship to see if he shows up :D Maybe he'll show up next to Dennis Taylor in the commentary box!

Someone needs to teach Dennis Taylor some new phrases, that's for sure.

John Virgo is without a doubt, the best ever. He's another part of the snooker world I'll sorely miss one day. His passion is second to none.
