I still have Judd. He's the only other player that makes me say wow from time to time.... better than nowt I suppose :D

I used to like Jimmy White. He was like the Jimmy Page of snooker.
It must be that the players get bored of the game after so long & stop practising as much or they wouldn't just fade away like they seem to.

Yeah, I was a big Jimmy White fan too... and Alex Higgins. It's definiately a lifelong affair for me :D

They can't last forever. Ronnie's been something special though and there will never be anyone like him again.

Isn't snooker a league now where you get ranked over the season to qualify?

Whats the ranking system/league all about?

I don't follow snooker,i just know there was a change a few years ago and a few snooker players were not happy with it.

They can and do, that Thai bloke who got to the second round won four qualifiers.

AFAIK, if you win a title, you're automatically entered into it next year and seeded one. AFAIK this applies to all tournaments, but it certainly applies to the world championships.

I was talking to a mate of mine the other day & he'd paid £200 on his card so this other guy could enter.
Although he is supposed to be quite good at a local level, his highest break was 8 in the qualifiers.
He's going for it again next year though...

Don't think so!
You can theoretically get a free ball from a foul which counts as a red, then pot the black.... which could lead to a maximum break of 155.
