Such is the story of Eric Bodenweiser, front runner for State Senator in Delware. Via Washington Blade:

The indictment includes 113 felony sex charges, including 39 counts of unlawful sexual intercourse — first-degree and 74 counts of unlawful sexual contact — second-degree. Although the indictment doesn’t identify the gender of the victim, the Gape Gazette identified the victim as a boy who allegedly was sexually abused by Bodenweiser between Oct. 1, 1987 and Aug. 31, 1990 when he was between the ages of 10 and 13.

The real story here isn’t that the GOP has yet another pedophile in its ranks, the Democratic Party has had some as well. The take away from this is the artificial nature of the GOP’s opposition to homosexuality. It seems that every other week, another secretly gay Republican comes tumbling out of the closet or another “pro-family” right winger turns out to be a sexual predator.

This is a clear indication that the GOP demands conformity on this issue regardless of how the candidate or elected official actually feels. The idea that a pedophile can look at homosexuality and declare that being gay is a threat to children is laughable. That a gay politician must vocally condemn his own sexual preference while hiding it from the public is sad beyond words.

In both cases, it is absolutely mandatory to follow the party line. This quashing of dissent or reasonable discourse reveals that the GOP’s “hatred” of homosexuals is nothing but a political ploy to enrage religious bigots. They don’t really care about sexual orientation outside of the votes such intolerance can get them.

The fact that conservatives constantly (and 100% falsely) seek to tie homosexuality to pedophilia is more proof that the goal is to whip up hatred for crass political gain. Pedophilia is universally despised (outside of actual pedophiles) so what better vehicle to deliver misplaced loathing to a gullible electorate?

Is there anything more grotesque than advocating a hatred not personally fell, demonizing millions of innocent citizens and creating an atmosphere in which homosexuals are bullied to death and killed outright for nothing more than a politician’s need to stay in power?

I think not.

@feather Jimmy Saville was a member of the Water Rats (the Show Business end of the masons) and he openly talked about this fact in various interviews , i think he mentioned it the Louis Vervoux programme?

I have also heard speculation regarding the wording on Saville's sweatshirt in that photo, as he oversees the 'handshake'. Capital Gold is of course a radio station....but I've heard it said that there is other *deliberate* significance there in regards to freemasonry/the 'handshake'.....

I just shook hands with Sarah, as naturally as possible, and without telling her what I was looking for, and we each had our thumbs on each other's 2nd knuckle (which means we must be fellow craft masons ) like in that picture - in fact their thumbs seem longer so look as if they're extending to in between the 2nd & 3rd knuckles of each other's hands.

I'm not rooting for it not to be a masonic handshake in the picture (I know the media have reported Sutcliffe was one) - just don't know how anyone can be base any beliefs on that photo.

I've just now shown my husband the photo, & here's what he said.

"It's impossible to know for sure, because people's thumbs do tend to touch each other's knuckles when they shake, in which case, the knuckle they touch would depend purely on the length of their thumbs - Bruno's got big hands.

It doesn't look like it's masonic to me though, because when you're reaching your thumb for a knuckle, the hands tend to automatically be palm / back of hand parallel with the floor, instead of sideways on, because the indicative knuckle touch is a slight squeeze.

Also, if they were masons, they would never be likely to give that shake in front of any camera, no matter how secure they felt, because it's not the done thing - or if they did, it would be likely to be a 2 handed shake, with each of their left hands covering the others right."

I asked if he knew if Saville had been a mason, & he said, "Was he bollocks", and also something about Frank Bruno being too thick to be a mason.

I asked him what a 32nd degree mason is (which is what Sutcliffe is reported as being) and he said you have to be in the Rose Croix. He doesn't know much about that, as he's not in it. So I asked if they use the same handshakes as the others, and he said he doesn't know, but probably not.

*Edit* And Dawn, I think the consensus here has been all along that Saville & his ilk are the enemy of all decent human beings. Nobody's sought to defend him in the least.
