I don't know what's worse, 'fat acceptance' [fat pride] or fat denial...
You might be a medical mystery, but 99% of the people do it to themselves through their ignorance later in life (as adults) by not acknowledging they have a problem, but in early stages of obesity (as children), the parents are the ones that cook the meals, buy the groceries and fill the fridge. So in a way, it is someones else's fault. Old Nature vs. Nurture ehh... Genetics? More like a generations patter. [hippopotamus, elephant, whale - THAT is genetics, naturally large mammals]
Actually, it's not the fat that I have a problem with, it's the ignorant that 99% of the time go hand in hand. You'd have to, to let your body degrade to such a state. (and that goes for both extremes, anorexia and bulimia too)
Yes, I guess I am a bigot, my bad, in this 'politically correct' society you can't say the word 'fat' anymore.
I'm sorry If any of my comments offended any "plus-sized" people. Actually, I'm not. I call things as they are. So bite me.

^Like I said, transfats in cheap food + lower exercise due to more desk jobs = fat people.
There's also people who get fat despite eating very little, this is down to insulin production causing lipids storage. (diabetics)
Theres also ofc people who are ridiculously thin despite eating well over 3000 calories a day such as my bloody missus who is still something like a size 6 despite having 4 kids which is hugely annoying

I swear blind her guts prove the existence of extra dimensions.
So its wrong to make sweeping generalisations marina and I'm not surprised QS called you out on it.
Generally speaking most blokes I know are thin up until their mid twenties or perhaps early thirties and then all of a sudden the gut comes on. Obviously there's a change in the way the body processes food as you age but I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised to see that cheap shit food has had a huge part to play in it, quite possibly cancer increases and other ailments too.
I would never make the mistake of saying 'oh they're all fat cos they're doleys!' I mean ffs
