They were running from several directions in some clips I've seen. I don't believe it's relevant. There were many running from behind & overtaking him quite close by, so it didn't look like they were afeared of him.

There could be an eruption soon.

There's someone putting info out that there's been an enormous increase in releases of helium around the site recently. I dunno whether that's true or not. The spokespeople say that doesn't have any relevance to an imminent eruption. I dunno whether that's true either. It might spook the animals though, either way (if it's true ).

It's a volcano, it has an eruptive quality, time being the mistress that she is means it is only a matter of time before it erupts. Soon is relative. If you are human soon is sooner than if you are a volcano. It's like dog years. Human years are 1/7th of volcano years? Near enough for the analogy.

It's just another fear 'prick'. It 'might' erupt .
