They were running from several directions in some clips I've seen. I don't believe it's relevant. There were many running from behind & overtaking him quite close by, so it didn't look like they were afeared of him.

from what ive seen of wildebeest on nature docs etc they are hardy fuckers and could be wrong but i think chances are if somone was pissing them off they would just turn around n kick fuck oot him
