I sort of agree andy. I didn't have a bad experience with the health visitors when the kids were babies. That said, it was made clear that if the kids strayed from the proscribed centile range or owt like that, the health visitors have powers to 'intervene'. It's also not unheard of for them to do so.....

The nurse visit I've no bother with at all, in fact its useful that the mother gets watched in case they get an infection afterwards etc.
