Top performance again, Hex.

Much better camera angle for the second vid - gives people a better idea of how incredibly difficult it is. It's tiring just watching it! :D

More please.

Thanks Hugo. :) There's more on the way right now... Video is exporting. I didn't perform as well as yesterday though, but decided to do it anyway. Its funny how there's good drumming days, usual days and bad days. Today was a bad one.

Difficult? Yes, without practicing the Edge Of Sanity songs for months, then playing them few times and recording in one take and make it out alright, that's difficult. If I would have any patience, I would practice the video songs for few weeks before recording anything, then it would a walk in a park. Playing Antabus is damn easy most of the time. It's muscle memory... Play a song for couple hundred times and its piece of cake. You can just sit and watch your limbs move.

Doing 'session' work = playing songs on tape without a long time to practice, that's difficult. Well, for me, I ain't that good. The stuff I can play any day, its all in spine, all routine. Some guys with very good technique and memory for music can play much better with little practice, I have to bang it all through gazillion times and then it works, well not always even then. :chuckle:

Thank you!

Yea it is, the stuff is sold by that name in Finland. :D There's a quite a story how we decided use Antabus as a band name. The whole thing started from an inside joke about a guy who used to post at our forums. At one point he was obsessed with the idea that he is an alcoholic and only Antabaus can save him. :D The thing is, he isn't and never was an alcoholic. Then I got this idea to mix word 'antabus' in classic heavy metal song and album names. That results into damn funny stuff when you know the concept.

And at one point I thought, that heck, this sounds like a thrash metal bands name. Before the band, there was the name. And the whole ironic hilarious collection of stuff related to it. A lot of ideas for lyrics and all that.

Oh yea, Antabus is 3/4 same group as our long term studio band Auringon Hauta, only bassist is different.

I remixed the audio a bit, now you can actually hear what the bassdrums are doing. :)

Now this will kick some serious butt! The fifth part of my Twentieth Anniversary drumming video series. The band's Edge Of Sanity, the song, Jesus Cries.

This is probably the hardest song to play on the whole album, its FAST and there's a lot of odd arrangements and tircky fills and what have you. I performed rather well today, so there's not much mistakes here either.

Enjoy, and remember to play it LOUD!!!

New day, new video! (Which will probably get ignored by everybody else but Hugorune and Pheony...)

I have to say these slow songs also demand a lot, playing in pocket has never been my thing, so this was a real challenge. Although I did well, practiced three times and got it on the second take, so not bad performance. I also changed the positioning of the monitor, now you can really hear the bassdrum. I should have done them all like this... I actually might revisit some songs to make better sounding versions of them, but lets finish this project first.

So, here's Edge Of Sanity, Across The Fields Of Forever. Do I have to say play it LOUD? It should be obvious by now. ;)

That is called irony. Say one thing, mean another type of stuff, do you get it?

I dedicated that video for you also, nice to see that I got you to react to it so strongly.

Why don't you listen to me when I try to talk to you
Stop thinking of yourself, for just a second fool
Shut up, shut up, I don't wanna hear your mouth
Your mother made a monster, now get the hell out of my house

Can't stand it for another day
I ain't gonna live my life this way
Cold sweat, my fists are clenching
Stomp, stomp, stomp the idiot convention

Which one of these words don't you understand
I'm Caught in a Mosh!
Talking to you is like clapping with one hand

What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!

Don't tell me how to do my job
There's the door, your name's on the knob
You're always in the way, like a beast on my back
Were you dropped as a baby, cause brains you lack

Can't stand it for another day
I ain't gonna live my life this way
Cold sweat, my fists are clenching
Stomp, stomp, stomp, the idiot convention
Which one of these words don't you understand?
I'm Caught in a Mosh
Talking to you, is like clapping with one hand

What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!

Think-before you speak
Or suffer for your words
Learn, to give respect
That others, give to you
AAAAAAAAAAAh, The best you can do

Hey Man!
I'm trying to reason but you don't understand
Talking in circles, we'll never get it straight
Just you and me in our theatre of hate
Can't stand it for another day
I ain't gonna live my life this way
Cold sweat, my fists are clenching
Stomp, stomp, stomp, the idiot convention
Which one of these words don't you understand?
I'm Caught in a Mosh!
Talking to you is like clapping with one hand

What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
What is it? -- Caught in a Mosh!
