There seems to be some kind of resurgence of old grievances between forum members lately, most of it appears to be in a positive direction ie. people are taking stuff on board, there's still some negativity knocking about though between posters.

This thread is for anyone to state as honestly and politely, as they feel they can, any grievances/observations they have for other forum members or the community as a whole.

@the community; I think we underestimate ourselves as a collective at times and therefore our place in it.

@oioioi; try and stop dubs forcing me to wage a campaign for him to be reinstated after I ban him :P

@Gue; stop reminding me of me about 6 months before I got banned from DIF, know your limits and others lad.

@Gilly; your my wife for 2013 :O

@andyh; it doesn't suit you ;)

@mikeyx2; I'd be covering old ground

@Nov; give yourself the smiley you deserve

@the rest of you that feel offended by not being mentioned, I got bored.

@my other 'facilitators'; :psketti:

You been on the moonshine again Oi?

My view is that the community as a whole needs to remember the cornerstone of it's birth. That being to be respectful of others.
I've got involved in the crap and I apologise for it. I won't let myself get dragged down that road again. If I do, I request here and now that I am banned without delay.

I personally feel that RA needs to either shape up or ship out. You've been deliberately stirring shit RA and it's unacceptable imho.
Gue, we've had our fall outs, in the main I find your presence is a boon, sometimes though you really do go on a wind up. Seemingly for the sake of argument. I would like you to stop that and concentrate on the positive stuff you have to offer and that you regularly do bring to the place.

App you must never ever leave again :)

The rest of you, carry on....

So defensive. Is there nobody you want to reach out to and touch in the context of this thread?

*Quite an edit!

In my own way I'm holding my hands up too, kinda. :P

I'm an old skool wum, I'll always appreciate a bit of wummery, but I also now know when to call in a wum. Gue has the PM's to prove it!

All I'll say is "Hmmm".

I never held him in much esteem, held his cards too close. You and Nov, cut from the same cloth as the online folk I like. I can't help feel we're copping for a bit of your understandable upset. :dunno:

I'm trying mate.

Here are my suggestions:

(1) I would ask that people are courteous, and don't make personal remarks. Many have recently been directed at me which doesn't bother me in the slightest because I don't give a toss what people think about me. However, I go out of my way to be patient and courteous towards others, and this is after all in the rules that we signed up for and was one of the primary reasons for setting up the site. If you don't feel you can go along with this, there are plenty of other forums one could frequent. There's one with a green colour scheme that comes to mind, but if you've been banned from there for engaging in exactly the same conduct, I'm sure there are many others out there.

(2) People shouldn't engage in the usual tedious behaviour of flooding threads with off-topic material, or engaging in circuitous arguments by repeating the same thing over and over again on different pages - or from one thread to the next - in the vain hope that no-one notices that they're repeating the same thing over and over again and don't have any legitimate arguments. There are numerous threads to which this applies, the Sandy Hook one would be the most obvious. Again, this is explicitly covered in the rules.

(3) I also believe everyone should make a financial contribution to the site each year. I have previously suggested it should be £1.

(4) Perhaps everyone should also read the rules, and possibly there could be a thread where we acknowledge that we've read them and agree to abide by them.

(5) I would strongly suggest there should be some x number of strikes and you're out system. People are simply completely unresponsive if you request them to be consistent with the ethos of the site. People seem to be incapable of moderating themselves. So persistent offenders should be kicked out as they're ruining for all the people that are able to behave maturely.

I'm far from perfect, but I can 100% guarantee that I will abide by everything in this post, and the rules that I signed up for. I'm happy to pledge to do so, and I've already contributed financially.

That's why I am fully in agreement with number 3 only. Give people ownership and they'll instinctively take responsibility for what is theirs.

Totally agree with you in principle oi, but how do you propose to compel people to make a financial contribution? Ultimately, the people that want to tit about just won't pay it. Or will pay it, and still tit about, if it's only £1. I'm quite happy to pay a lot more than that, I just suggested it as a token sum of good will to the people that set the site up, and as far as I know, still fund it.
