I don't actually think this discussion should be taking place at all. I think they should be left to use the forum like everybody else unless or until they start causing trouble. None of us are forced to read or reply to doom threads. And none of us have everyone else telling us what section we have to put our threads in.

I don't even think 'today's news' is inappropriate if it's new doom, unless 'today's news' becomes a mess of different doom threads. Doom may not be news to me, but technically new doom is news if you're a doom head and believe in this doom bullshit. Doom is not in and of itself offensive or against forum rules and it may be important to anyone who hasn't realised constant predictions of doom are worthless, particularly as given enough predictions of minor doom, statistically it's likely hits will occur simply by chance.

Only a single, specific, highly accurate prediction of doom would be impressive. Or constant doom accuracy.

But one man's doom bullshit is another man's vital info. Unless we ban doom, I say leave the asshole alone.

It is Cathar, even he doesn't know where they belong, he seems to choose at random, he's even placed one of his predictions in History!

I think obsessing over doom is a distraction technique. It's like watching a film. You sit in your house while the birds chirp outside fantasising about improbable shit that ain't gonna happen -while real life grim shit is happening all the time. It's like being into sci-fi or steam engines but forgetting that's a hobby you do for entertainment and starting to believe it's real.

The best cure would probably be to step outside into the real world and witness real life.
