My point is that at the outset, this place was touted as being different. A sanctum. A place where old dislikes were set aside and a clean slate offered to all. A place that was led by its members as much as possible.

here we have an example of how far away from those ideas the forum has 'strayed'. a few people dislike what one member posts and the next thing you know a mod has decided to dump that poster's comments, first wanting to put them in vent, then into the have a laugh section. with just the thinnest veneer of it being put to the members. a mere pretense. sorry oi but you're out of order here. I see no reason why you should be able to take the piss out of another member in this way. equally you are taking the piss out of the whole notion of the community having a say.
you have done what you wanted first and then left it for folk to comment later. this may be fair in an instance where a poster has been abusive or whatever but it isn't fair when it's just cos you don't like the poster or their thoughts. it is very firmly in the realms of top down moderation, very dif like and I'm disappointed that a self declared anarchist would act as such.

I can see your objection knobmeup, but I think you might be being a little hard on oi, here with your comparison to DIF.

I have three reasons for this:

1) we are talking about moderation, which is something that was not allowed on DIF
2) cath is not banned nor, tmk, has he received any points or warnings
3) moving a thread is not the same as deleting it.
