It is thought that Keith Moon was BPD.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Moon

There are different cersions of the disorder...Not all BPDs are suicidal....

I've only known one that I'm certain of.....If one is a girlfriend and she begins to devalue you it can be confusing/.sad...

I think alot of these mental disorders should be reclassified as "Born in the 80's disorder", or "generation X,Y,Z disorder :D
The meanings that are the most directly practical are the ones that are sacrificed: the flavor, aroma and touch are abolished to the profit of the delusions that permanently lead sight and hearing astray.

G'day Dreadnought.

In a society that is set up in the manner in which western society is set up, anyone not conforming to social norms can be classed as having a 'borderline personality disorder'.

It is only recognized by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) in individuals over the age of 18; however, symptoms necessary to establish the disorder can also be found in adolescents.

Considering that the 'classification' comes from the DSM ...

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) published by the American Psychiatric Association provides a common language and standard criteria for the classification of mental disorders. It is used in the United States and in varying degrees around the world, by clinicians, researchers, psychiatric drug regulation agencies, health insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and policy makers.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diagnostic_and_Sta..._of_Mental_Disorders

... the credibility of such a 'classification' is suspect to say the least.

The DSM is little more than an excuse to drug people really.
The latest one I heard about was Orthorexia, healthy eating disorder
apparently it's a psychological disorder that causes people to avoid unhealthy foods
surely only a wide range of dangerous and addictive pharmaceuticals can cure such a terrible disorder

It's true that society can be very quick to judge any behaviour considered to be "outside the norm", which is a great shame. I do believe, however, that personality disorders do exist. A young relative of mine was diagnosed a few years ago with BPD after years of the most distressing and extreme behaviour, including physical assaults on others and suicidal ideation. I actually couldn't be in her company for long as she acted as some sort of "psychic vampire" and sapped me completely. To be fair, she does seem better these days!

G'day Martg.

Nail ... Head !!!

Full credit for this video goes to CCHR. I have no connection with Scientology, religious or otherwise. I am however a former victim of criminal psychiatric practices. When I stumbled upon a museum in Hollywood California named: Psychiatry, An industry of death, I was of course very intrigued. The staff were very patient and helpful. They were eager to answer any questions people had. When I found out that thorozine could be one of the causes for my tourette's syndrome I could feel the anger rising inside of me. Thinking back to the mental "hospitals" I was forced to stay in. I was locked in my room on a 24 hour a day basis and if I said or did anything that could possibly be taken as less then submissive and obedient I was taken to the "seclusion room" (which is kind of fucked seeing as how I was in 24 hour a day seclusion anyways) and put in 4 point restraints, injected with liquid thorozine directly into my neck. When I was allowed passes to go home for the day with my mom, I was too tired to do anything with my family, I just wanted to sit in the chair and sleep, I remember thinking what is the point of being ALLOWED to come home for the day if I am just going to sit here sleeping? I can do this just as well back at the hospital. When I went back that night I told the nurses that I wanted different medication, this started the chemical cocktail experience that would be my life for more than another YEAR.

Are there people that have benefitted from psychiatric "medicines"? Well I'm sure there are. .

The people that were forced into these criminal hands had no choice for the most part. Their human right were stripped from them so a very small group of people could make more money than most people can even conceive of.

The Marketing of Madness is the definitive documentary on the psychiatric drugging industry. Here is the real story of the high income partnership between psychiatry and drug companies that has created an $80 billion psychotropic drug profit center.

In the absence of any objective medical tests to determine who has ADD or ADHD, doctors rely in part on standardized assessments and the impressions of teachers and guardians while the they administer leave little room for other causes or aggravating factors, such as diet, or environment. Hence, diagnosing a child or adolescent with ADD or ADHD is often the outcome, although no organic basis for either disease has yet to be clinically proven. Psychiatrists may then prescribe psychotropic drugs for the children without first without making it clear to parents that these medications can have severe side-effects including insomnia, loss of appetite, headaches, psychotic symptoms and even potentially fatal adverse reactions, such as cardiac arrhythmia. And yet, despite these dangers, many school systems actually work with government agencies to force parents to drug their children, threatening those who refuse with the prospect of having their children taken from the home unless they cooperate.

The exposure of the psychiatric industry is the only thing that I will give scientologists credit for. You can add in the documentaries Generation RX, The Medicated Child and others that expose what has been going on. The psychiatric industry is a predator and people are it's prey.

G'day Martg.

You're welcome.

Same here. An uncle on dads side of the family was a taxi driver, got hit in the back of the head with a brick while being robbed and ended up in and out of a psychiatric ward. The drugs they feed them are the real problem ... I'll shut up now before I start going off. :D

If I had to choose only one to recommend I'd make it Psywar and Human Resources (I know, two ;) :P ). :D
