getting an ofcom license was perhaps the only thing that they could do in order to actually stay on air. I totally get and understand that and cannot criticise them on that basic level. Many of those people advocate and are supported in their beliefs that non compliance is the only real answer to breaking the stranglehold legislation and business have on the media, in this regard kowtowing to legislation can be viewed as a total let down and hypocrisy. Not knowing they would need one is an example of how ill thought out the whole plan was to begin with and that to my mind is a genuine concern. Were tpv not able to garner the goodwill, support both financial and otherwise of 'the people' as a venture it would not have come to fruition.
I have not seen any business plan, no cost projections, no long term plan as to how to grow the venture, no basic breakdown of what is needed in order to run without growth or any of the usual things I would have asked to see had I been asked to invest. I also wonder how many of those who have volunteered time and skills from the dif have actually been replied to let alone been given a volunteer 'spot' or whether or not the paid and voluntary positions were given instead to people who are already affiliated with icke/sean.
All of the sonia hoohah boils down to a woman asking for transparency from a venture that has proclaimed itself different from the mainstream. Not an unreasonable ask. That there are numerous discrepancies and grievances historically that have never been fully addressed but also whitewashed has added to the vitriol that has been forthcoming since the whole thing exploded.
The voices of those who are being fucked over by successive governments, business and corporations desperately need a platform from which to speak. I am not sure tpv will ever be that platform.
What TPV has shown us is that people can be galvanised into putting their money and effort where there mouths are in order to get their voices heard. Which to my mind is an incredibly positive thing. If only the station was not headed up by such an ego who has surrounded himself with yes men with similarly over endowed egos perhaps the venture would not far more trustworthy and credible.
I see from ickes that ken o keefe is having to ask for donated funds in order to manage whilst volunteering at TPV
www.pozible.com/project/176177 a programme that many say is one of the best on tpv, and yet one has to wonder if it will be able to remain if he is not able to feed himself and his family whilst volunteering. More 'proof' that the business plan was either not sound or ill thought out to begin with,
Sonia, like her or loathe her brought with her an opportunity to reach out to the mainstream and garner viewers who were not already utterly open to TPV. Her departure has closed the minds of many who are more concerned with more 'grassroots' social issues than whether or not the queen is a reptile and the world is run by nefarious jews. These are people who campaign on a daily basis against social injustice who given the time and the opening could very well have made that leap from being anti government policy to seeing a bigger picture. They are however based on facebook and other social media comments by those being driven away from TPV because tptb at TPV were unable to be honest and transparent without being rude, childish and manipulative.
We are managing to divide ourselves further and yet cannot possible unite unless honesty and integrity remain intact from all sides of the coin.
