As the title spells it out, who here would if they could, simply walk away to another way of doing things. Most folks here I guess might like to keep more of their own time and pleasure, the things they made to share with family and freinds. We just did that yesterday right?.

As we don't have a 'hand up' smiley, I'll have to use the words. I would and whilst ultimately still stuck in the paradigm, am on a path.

I too feel the effects of yours and all those aware of their situation, folks with hearts of gold, like the colour of Kildare on a good day. May the path yours tread be a fruitful one mate

:hahano: At the risk on incurring wrath, id say that way around is not uncommon at all, no matter where one is.

Ive also read that university degree gets in greece specifically are much higher for women than men...i would ofc say its likely not that the bro's arent posessing comparative grey matter... its that they dont want a part of it all as much as the women? :dunno:

The right and title of any skilled female has long been overlooked for far too long, in ancient times brains nearly always makes up for the lack of strength, today in Iceland, it is an almost female group who lead their recovery.

If anyone has read works by Edmund Marriage, one would see that the Sumarian females were the true rulers and peace for millenia is entirely possible. Today the female has been totally and dissingeniously degraded and for a reason, same thing happened towards the collapse of the Roman Empire, and other Empires.

No wrath but I will say that I think I'm an exception to that rule as I don't class my 'needs' as that of 'todays woman'. I have very little (if any) interest in most materialistic things that woman are generally into.

If I walked away from everything, without exception I would miss music the most and the access I have to it. Music is something I love and would miss it terribly. It's almost like a fix if that makes sense.

I would without a doubt, but without roots or ties it may be easier for me, I have asked this exact question to several people I know that have lived in one town all their lives, most if not all of them said they couldn't or wouldn't leave, I felt they had a lack of imagination, or their exploring mind never got developed, and they are closed minded.

Half of your post made no sense, ok, all of it. Yet I will address it coz I think I know what you iz trying to say, from a Greek cultural perspective just to fuck with you back :D

Missus oioioi was raised as a Greek girl, fucked off to the UK aged 20 and spent 13 years there, felt liberated, partly my doing, I'm that kinda guy :D. she had kids and her career, she's got both here now but they are presented differently.

At the risk of incurring even further wrath, I'd say that any man who lets a woman dominate him needs his bumps feeling... :hide:

I'll reiterate my point then, the reason we are in Athens now is me.

I think I'm better positioned for when it all goes off as it's quite likely to be here. Probably also why you are looking at properties in Portugal ;;

Am I to take it then that you think it's ok the other way around? Or are you going to opt for the 'it should be equal' option? :D

my post wasnt directed at yourself personally tbh...what i was attempting :hahano: to say is ...

more women than men go to university and get degrees in greece, (and the difference in numbers is apparently large enough to not just be standard deviation.) . thats what i read recently somewhere anyway. Assuming it is indeed the case...

Could we then say that from that it is possible men are more inclined to want less to do with the current paradigm than women? or from that am i making a gross generalisation and/or giant leap here?

i do believe i see evidence of this here also, although people do what they gotta do to get that fiat paper so its disguised with a mask somewhat so to speak.

I do personally feel that men are more inclined to want or at least attempt to carve out their own path in regards to employment and perhaps i will extend that to lifestyle, whereas women are more inclined to want to do the degree/diploma/career thing.

i admit it is a generalisation, but one i see evidence for.

hope ive come close to making sense now.

In my opening post I titled it, walking away from the current system. However I never mean't literally, dropping everything, leaving loved ones and tools behind, but changing the system as many percieve as the system is in order of getting what one needs without or at least, at the cost of another, hope that makes scense.

Dub's fully understands this system like I do, and has encountered the LET's system as I'm sure others do. The walking away part, here we have been trialling for some twenty years or so.

In the link supplied earlier is an in depth category of how this idea can and ries work, at least for us here,

userpage.fu-berlin.de/roehrigw/kennedy/english/chap7.htm

These things take time to organise between different walks of life, using different skills, skills being the catylist together with people one knows and trust.

I B, said, if there was a way I would, I can say there is a way and we have proved it works, as those who know us can vouch.

One thing I recommend is for others to grasp the true meaning of why money does'nt work uneer the current compound interests incured in every product and service we purchase, in the link above.

With the right knowledge and will power we can walk away from a system that does'nt work and create one that does, that concentrstes, not on what others have at the cost of someone else, but what true assets we can secure by working together, responsibly, culturally, together.

Once as the whole recognises these real life needs, the rest could flourish quite easily.

The problem is for the whole to recognise these real life needs there must be a change in the wealthy power structure that dictates the MSM in the western world which causes the lust for material possessions.

We recognised the problems we were adding to the way things were running many years ago, as individuals we have to make the right choices for ourselves and stick to them, if we are to start making changes to any system. Those who remain in limbo who are unable to react, have to recognise there are other ways of doing things differently, so as their gain is not anothers loss.

Those who choose the destructive path, cannot be made to change, the enlightened so to say could stop contracting away their physical labour to these people, learn new skills and work together with like minded people, there is no other way.

Its a bottom up model.
