We can't very well have the few dozen people from the SZ, all of whom are completely opposed to the royals, turn up at the gates of Buckingham Palace and try to instigate some sort of coup because we would be laughed out of town. And demonised. And most people would hate us for it. We all have to live 'under the royal sceptre' whether we like it or not.
And there's no running away from the present system because despite the fact that you have no monarchy things are no better in the States, in fact as you pointed out yourself, they're arguably far worse. If you turn on the news, you might notice that Europe's totally fucked. South America was largely taken over in the 80s, particularly the smaller countries, Africa has been raped beyond all belief, ditto the Asian subcontinent. Honestly, the best chance for a decent standard of living in the coming years will be China and Japan IMHO. Japan's had massive financial problems and China is an absolute totalitarian state. So it's not a great choice that you're left with.
I can tell you now, what happened in Cyprus is coming to a town near you. So you'd better find something better to do than posting the same old nonsense over and over again. Don't tell me I didn't warn you, don't put your head in the sand, that is the reality of the situation. Frankly, the US is so bad now it's virtually a third world nation already. It's only TV that keeps the illusion going that everything is okay. It works here too, don't worry. That's why the royals are so popular!
