The best threads IMO are the ones that go off on mad tangents. This thread has by now several inconsequential posts. I don't see I have some special right to kick off over it.

Mike correctly observed you frequently claim you are too busy to reply when challenged. I personally experience you as often being aloof, patronising and dismissive. I would not dream of making a big deal out of it though. Because I'm not arsed.

This, to me, is not about 'abuse' or 'attacks'. You do seemingly expect people to walk on eggshells around you. I do not see why the bar should be lowered to such a ridiculous degree so you can get upset over a post that is basically nothing worth even thinking about. It is pathetic.

Surely the simple answer is not to personally attack WUB. He doesn't want to get involved in petty squabbles on the forum, which is surely his prerogative (and a reasonable stance to take). So leave WUB out of the bitching and just respond to him normally, then everything will be fine and dandy, I would think.

There is an intermittent server issue, which might explain a post being submitted not going through.

Depends on whether or not said post actually went up in the thread. If the post was in the thread and then vanished, thats another story.

. I have on this thread because I was annoyed. We've had some epic ding-dongs on the DIF but here been pretty amicable. I'm happy to stay amicable. But I myself think deleting posts is a last resort, not click on demand. It bothers me that anybody gets some kind of preferential treatment or that every time somebody makes a mild dig what they say gets memory holed. It just seems farcical to me. Things are generally only a big deal if you make them one. I did here because - rightly or wrongly - I thought it was a noteworthy issue.

I dont think anyone deleted anything in this case, as you said oi, you were the only one here with mod power.

As most members would know, I do have admin power as i assist with the tech side, but i still need to be logged in to delete any post, and just to make it clear incase it isnt to anyone who doesnt know, i dont moderate/facilitate here at all.
