andy, at sea level (where the pic was taken) the horizon is iirc 7 miles away. are you suggesting that when you look into the sky at an angle to the horizon, you can only see 7 miles? ofc you're not. that would make you dafter than a chemtrail observer

to put it simply you cant see stuff below the horizon but you can see stuff way beyond it if that stuff is above the horizon. like in the sky...sunsets would suck if that werent so

once again. You CAN see the sky beyond the horizon. what you cant see is the land and anything else BELOW the horizon. its really simple and basic stuff.

We could have some exceptions a white dwarf star or black hole could pop into the sky and gravitationally lens the light around it and you'd see past the horizon or you might have a mirage doing it which would be a bit more common than a black hole popping into existence but you never know, they're working on it at CERN...lmfao

There's the actual horizon and then there is the illusionary horizon created by refraction.
