I think a poll is indeed required.
If sz is to stick to its principles, every member, regardless of the length of their membership, must have an equal voice to everyone else. There has been a lot said in this thread ( a lot of it understandably heated) and i think the ins and outs have pretty much been covered.

Verlander is right. This could go on forever, going no further but causing fall outs.

So, i propose that we decide on some poll options.

Obv the question of a subforum or not is the main one. As has been said, anyone can already post on any topic they choose, so long as they are mindful of the cold hard facts of life in this paradigm. The forum guidelines clearly state the member's obligations in that regard. Anyone disrespecting those guidelines has no place here. Hard but true.
Anything potentially libellous or otherwise injurious to innocents would squarely fall into that camp.

Anything that is evidenced well, clearly does not. It may be a hard to swallow post but if it is a fact, it's a fact. And it should be voiced.

I think a few people have lost some of their objectivity in this thread and posted from that perspective toward others. It would be nice if we could all accept our human frailties and try to pcontinue from here with a clean slate. If we allow divisions and ill feelings to grow we're pretty fucked tbh....

Thats all there is to it IMHO, they can carry on posting about whatever they like so long as they stick to the guidelines.
The point is the hassle only started when moderation had to be brought in over material that had no factual linkage.
They can use general or whatever section already suits tbh.
Theres already a pile of people having a gripe about TPV, nothing there got deleted but nothing there is libellous, its all perfectly accurate.

I was not a researcher on the JS thread, but read every post and every link. My strength lay in drafting emails to MPs and to the Attorney General. My MP gets regular emails from me asking him to support Early Day Motions etc. I also drafted leaflets for everyone to use and personally printed and distributed over 2,500 from door-to-door within walking distance of wherever I was staying. Zhiba said (on the thread) that I could continue to post my draft emails on that thread - as an exception.

I am familiar with running a Pro-Board forum - I currently run one for Multi-Charity Support. I have given about 70 people a place to support small charitable causes without paying the 'big guys'. That is enough for me to organise and run so I can't take on another forum where I have to lead and Admin it. (I do use that forum to get out the messages about CSA in a well-managed way. Some of them copy and send my email to their MPs, Attorney General and they sign petitions I draw to their attention.)

I just need a platform where I can share draft emails and ask members to copy and amend and then send. Without the connection of the internet, CSA would have been covered up again. It is 'normalised' in some circles. It will never, ever, ever be 'normal' in my life!

A sub-forum was put forward as a possible solution; a solution to what that the above doesn't already cover?

Will there be sub forums for elderly sexual abuse in care homes. Mental health sexual abuse in institutions. Learning and other disability sexual abuse in care homes. Are we limiting the sub forum to sex? What about your average common a garden sexual abuse between adults, Saturday night date rape, spousal sexual abuse?

what about ones for physical, emotional and social abuse?

It could get complicated when one highlights one abuse above another. Although im not sure why we should categorise abuse in terms if importance.

I do not anticipate any problem whatso-er with your having a thread in which to post your drafts etc. It actually rather inspires me. I get up to some stuff on occasion,it usually sees me an isolated and vulnerable voice. Perhaps draft emails might even help me to get folk to chip in. So thanks for the idea
