Maybe Barca have had to bow to a commercial pressures and get a conventional shirt sponsor, but they are still a classy club:

Sounds like Russian club Anzi [whatever] are in a bit of turmoil. They've sacked Renee already after 2 weeks & it looks like quite a few of their expensive players are gonna leave....
Rubbish idea having a mega-wealthy team in Russia anyway.

Sadly I can't see it. At this rate there will be 0 transfers for United & Rooney will be off!
Big news today though..... allegedly. (still can't see it!)
Willian would be a good buy off Anzhi... whoever gets him will get a good player probably at a reasonable price.

I can see United going for Modric very strongly if Bale goes to Real. Whether they'll get him is another matter, but I don't see how Real can keep Ronaldo, Bale, di Maria, Ozil, Isco and Modric happy. Maybe they could even go for Xabi Alonso, I think he's a bit similar to Carrick, though.

England v Scotland tonight.

That should be, well, shite.
But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma,
a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

This is a very long article, I won't post the whole thing:

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/artic...got-FC-Baku-job.html
Meet the man who honed his genius on the Football Manager computer game... and is now in charge of a real football club

Have you ever thought that those hours spent playing Football Manager turning Shrewsbury Town into Europa League winners have been a complete waste of time?

Well then meet Vugar Huseynzade. At 22 years old he is boss of Azerbaijani side FC Baku, is the youngest manager in the world, and got to where he is today off the back of just nine years’ experience playing management simulation games.

It really is the acid test that football has been waiting for. This isn’t the first sport to embrace the talent provided by simulation gamers and wouldn’t be the first fair success.

So having taken FC United to back to back Europa league successes and holding second spot in the Champions league after a thrilling 4-3 defeat at the Nou Camp but still playing at Gigg bloody Lane I should expect a phone call soon.

I don't know about a manager / director of football job, but I'm sure some Greek team somewhere will be employing someone who cut his / her teeth playing FM.

3 days 'til the big kick off! All the pre season hype about player acquisitions is almost over and we can get down to the serious stuff.

Slough Town Vs Northwood

Come on you Rebels!!

We probably not going up, I said , we're probably not going up!

There's a row going on down near Slough....
Think I went to Slough Town once v Altrincham. Used to get sooooo wasted for away trips can't remember much about them!
Transfer window doesn't shut till the 31st stupidly.... so speculation will continue into the first couple of weeks of the season...
Bit peeved at no transfers for United. Altrincham sold their best player Duncan Watmore to Sunderland & aint splashed the cash. :/

'undisclosed' ... but it will have been in the 100thousands I would've thought. Top player... only 18.

Anyone watching the seniors play tonight?

Scotland are so shite, they may even make us look like a passing team. I'm going 3-0 to England.

It'll be interesting. Most of the Scots have a few league games under their belt so should be a bit sharper.

I just hope everyone has fun and enjoy themselves.
