Do you remember the TV series 'Bread'? There's no particular reason that you should, but it depicted a pretty lowly working-class family, in which the mother spent all her time looking down her nose at other people. There was a religious element to it, but it's the same principle.

It's incredibly painful to me that my family will get misty eyed about the royal fucking family, but then just outright accept some bullshit story in the Daily Mail about benefit claimants. People have got no sense of fucking perspective.

I've been on the dole, I've done some shitty jobs, I've done some slightly better jobs, and I've done what I'm doing now which is going surprisingly well. I haven't changed as a person in the slightest, my core beliefs, values and personality are exactly the same. I cannot for the life of me comprehend why when people get a few quid they think it's some sort of fucking achievement that elevates them to some oracle-like status.

It's all the fault of the me, me, me, me popular culture. They wanted a nation of ideal consumers, well, they've got them.

It was the last straw, and I gave her both barrels - who's really bringing the country down & why - bankers, her beloved queenie, politicians, big fooking Pharma & their ruthlessness & who has their fingers in that particular pie; the stupidity of people who fall for the MSM propaganda about bloody spongers; the fact that she nets about £1,300pm for sitting on her big, fat arse doing very little indeed, whereas many bloody spongers work their fingers to the bone for a pittance and would love the chance of a cushy number like she's got - yet she's petty enough to begrudge some poor bugger 17p worth of pain-killers etc. etc. etc. It's the first time in the 10 months I worked there that I saw her shut her gob.

Ch4 news is now apparently going knocking on doors and asking if people have a job wtf!!??

Not watched the programme myself but i thought it was just channel 5 who made propaganda films vilifying people at the lower end of the pyramid sales system.

It is becoming more apparent that the tag line "were all in it together" is applicable to all TV channels in the UK.

Personally I think the problem does not lie with the companies that make these programmes, it lies with the people who actually watch and give them viewing figures to keep them on air
