Should Guest posting be enabled on the Sanctum Zone Forum?

Sure...why not? Let's see what happens.
If it ever gets out of hand or disliked by members it can be disabled.

It's worth a shot...it should liven the place up a bit that's for sure.

Yes it's a good thing, and eventually many guests may like it here and stay on as regulars.

The more I think about it the more i think its a red herring. How hard is it for those genuinely interested to register?
Chances are the result will be drive by trolling and therefore a more moderated forum. so based on that some of you can guess how I decided to vote

Thinking about it, I agree with dubs - I'm concerned things could get a bit chaotic around here if we allow guest posting, and, as dubs says, it's easy to register! So I voted no.

But I will go along with whatever the majority decide!

I voted yes because the moderators can and earn their keep if need be, plus probably enjoy doing it in my opinion, one of the major forums along ours line of topics has a anonymous capability for posters, and they get some really good stuff going, I think this forum would be cutting itself short unless we at least tried it.

I voted No because it will only end in tears, guarantee it.

What you will get imo is a lot of trolls and people who will just disrupt things, that will be their agenda, if they look at this forum then think they'd like to have say then they can join up.

There's a reason many forums dont have guest posting, take heed.

I voted yes, because it might be fun, & might get more members. If it proves to be more trouble than it's worth, it can easily be reversed.

Is there a way of setting up a 'Guest Topic' area?....a bit like blast chat. So guests can post just in that area?...dip their toe in the water so to speak.....I haven't voted yet, as I'm sitting on the fence....bit like my suggestion above.....sorry.

Its either 'off' across all the categories that can currently be read by guests, or 'on' . Guests still wouldnt be able to see or post in the two categories down the bottom that need us to be logged in to read now, the Vent Room and Members Stuff.
