Easy way? Or simple no nonsense way? For people who don't like to argue for hours, possibly days on end, about what voting system should be used, before we even start voting.

Let's cut all the bullshit and get down to the nitty gritty and move on. That's how I like to see things done :chuckle:

Has the forum come to a conclusion yet?

The only way to truly find out what is going to happen is to enable it for a time, see how it goes, disable it and put it to another vote after people see just what is going to happen. Put a clause in when enabling it "this is a test, it will be disabled after such and such date, or before if things go bad".
No one at this moment knows what allowing guest posting would end up as...the only way to know if the members want it on a long term basis is if they get to experience what happens.

People already are pointing their mouses elsewhere. That's the problem with this place at the moment. Why? Why aren't people signing in? Why aren't they signing up?
Maybe they see this place as a bit of a private party. Maybe they think it's too cliquey.

Yeah by all means get shut of spammers and people making threats etc. But if we're trying to keep the place as a "sanctum", all nice and lovey dovey, it might be very limiting.
