hey we seem so obsessed with what we are supposed to be . be happy with what we are. its evolving community. maybe it doesn't get bigger so what. i dont need 10k posts to read a day. i like that we are close and can be honest. i like that we know each other pretty good and can form strong bonds. i dont like cities, i like hamlets and villages. cities are for rats and suits.
so you guys maybe you fight or you disagree with each other, get over it. if there is some real problems with people that you can't take it, or you think someone is pushing you around tell me about it. i got buttons i can push.
we are all adults here. look i dont contribute a lot of info. i derail threads all the time. im insulting, sarcastic and stupid. and im a facilitator. but i think my hearts in the right place. i want to see us all stick together and stay in touch. through thick or thin. its good for us to have this spectrum of friendship. diversity of views. so lets not lose sight of that.

Perhaps she had to be part of an in-crowd to succeed in the UK, whereas in the holiday resorts they had need of a decent singer and she even had opportunity to do side work during the day teaching kids music who were on hols etc.

I am not sure why those people mentioned left but the problem we have is our size. I think this is clear for all to see. We have a handful of members here and most people get along with the usual divides of groups. So for somebody like myself I know certain users will disagree with a point or agree. If everything you post is taken negatively then you might say fuck it and leave. So somebody like nirvana might have said fuck it. I really don't know why he left but possibly it was something like that. So if you want to build this community then you need to perhaps address this some how.of course if you just want this to be a back slapping mutual masturbation kind of deal then you can have that too. I started my forum wanting it to be bigger than this but smaller than dif. It failed but this forum has a good chance to get to a good size. Right now there are times that I sign in and see nothing to comment on or read and so to my mind we still need to grow. Of course so far I have not put my money where my mouth is.

I am glad the clear the air topic was started but not sure everybody wants it clear.

Pheony, I think I'm aware enough of what went on to know that what you're saying is what occured. Hang in there gal, he never deserved you. A word to the wise, please don't leave based on the fact that he did a reasonably good job of pulling the wool over some people's eyes.

I don't want to see any more comments about me. I want to see some sign that the community is at least prepared to look at itself and ask itself a few questions. That isn't me calling for it to be an anarchist cooler whatever that is, or a consensus led forum, or to be all about the things the app champions or anything like it. It's me calling for the basic principle of respect for the community and it's members to be shown by all it's members.

EDIT: Feather, yes I suppose you're right I am 'crusading'. As I said before, if I misunderstood your view then I'm sorry. I'm as guilty as the next bloke/girl. If it helps you decide to stay, I will go and find some quotes but I'm of a mind that it'd be more destructive than constructive to do so. I hope you get that and stay, as you said, you are one of the ones that actually does self moderate and show respect.
