The colour remake of Night of the Living Dead was actually directed by Tom Savini and If memory serves he was able to do some things that they wanted to do in the original but budget etc you know. It was a pretty decent remake indeed.

As for Night Of the Comet that movie is awesome. Saw it on Moviedrome back in England. Love end of the world/last people alive movies especially late at night.

@ I-baster, I really liked the remake actually, if only because you could actually see what was going on, whereas the original, being black and white, you could miss quite a lot.

I'll have to watch the Night remake actually, I've never seen it.

Fright Night is such a classic! One of my absolute favorites! I love Chris Sarandon! And I always thought his roommate in the film was a great character. Not to mention Evil Ed! I actually have some Fright Night comics from when I was young.

Sarandon is perfect as Dandridge, suave yet terrifying! Well terrifying as in not really terrifying...pretend terrifying

Dandridge's roommate is scarier than Dandridge in a way with his weirdness

I love the way Dandridge actually smashed Charlie's car and tells him on the phone... "I've smashed your car Charlie, but that's nothing compared to what I'm going to do to you...tomorrow night" I would have just packed my bags and left after that

Edit: It's "I've just destroyed your car..." not smashed your car same thing anyway...I can never remember film quotes

Yeah, there are a ton of Hammer Films I've yet to see. There are just so many! I have a DVD of 6 or so at home with Nightmare on it. I also have an awesome book called Hammer Glamour that's basically just the lovely ladies of Hammer films.

Billy Cole! That's his name! Yes great scene I had such hope when I first saw that bit as a kid, I just wanted the cop to listen to Charlie...okay there would have been no film, but my childs brain didn't think about that, I thought it was real! (Well not really)

Lost Boys! LOVE IT! Can you tell? I saw that movie in the theater 4 times when I was...12? Damn, I'm getting old! Oh, and the bed in the mother's bedroom is exactly like the bed I had(still have; but it's painted black now). That is such a classic!
