I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself (what's new?) and currently have at my disposal vast quantities of fizzy pop, the very elixir of life itself, as well various nibbly bits that have next to no nutritional value.

I have rinsed my horror collection of late recently though, and am a bit stumped. I'm thinking zombie, but I haven't anything I have not seen recently already.

Any ideas?

I'm not well up on zombie films I'm afraid. I could fancy watching The Craft as I've not seen it for years - if only for this track by Matthew Sweet, Dark Secret, yummy!

I was thinking about that one actually, oi. There are some set inaccuracies that niggle at me in there though. That really is how big a film nerd I am, unfortunately.

There's a really bad one in the original Halloween too.

How about Zombieland. Filmed right here in Georgia. My wife has met one of the main zombies in this movie.

I love 28 Days Later. Some people griped that it wasn't a "true" zombie film- what ev!

What was that Chernobyl zombie movie that came out recently...like, Chernobyl Diaries or something? I didn't see it but sounds like a good premise. Also, this looked cool but I haven't seen it:

And that reminds me of this funny sketch:

That's a definite possible, i-baster, thanks.

If only because it has the legend that is Bill Murray in it. I'm also partial to a little Woody every now and then.

Leave it...

28 days later is a zombie film of sorts but they are not really zombies since they are not even dead.

At least the setting is creepy! :O

Not zombies but I loved Descent!

I liked the original ending better than the American one. It was pretty grim but I guess they had to have a sequel! The sequel was "meh" but entertaining enough.

I really have no respect for anybody who does not like a little woody from time to time.

This is very true. It's also where all this 'fast moving' zombie nonsense comes from.

This is a minor technicality! :P

Scared the shit outta me, though...I had nightmares for two weeks. Zombie nightmares are the worst; even if they aren't dead. ;)

That's why they were scary! You can't get away from them like the slow pokes!

But which do you find scarier, K? Actual zombies, or infected people that are still alive but very 'bitey'? It's a tough one, as either could be your mum or grandpa, I suppose. That's what makes both really scary!!

Fast moving actual zombies would just have me on the floor in a heap, to be fair. The infected 'bitey' folks might be a little less stressful and perhaps easier to incapacitate?

That's a tough one. Both terrify me but I guess dead people walking around biting people is a bit creepier! I've had dead zombie nightmares, too! Yeah, I guess smelly, decaying zombies can't be beat! :umm:

The point though with zombies is that they are us and we can easily become them. It is not about how skilled zombies are at feeding but how easily it is for us all to become them and you should probably not want to be them. Of course with the outbreak film or fast zombies you have the "oh shit they are fast" but they have to have other points to make their story because they don`t have that sort of atmosphere that night and dawn created(the originals of course). I actually enjoyed the remake of dawn despite the new found speed but it lost something that the original had.

As you were I just had to put in my two cents about slow zombies. For a more in depth ramble just keep pushing me. :aargh:
