Has Fright NIght been mentioned yet? Classic film.

I like a good Hammer film as well...not particularly scary but atmospheric and reassuring.

I love Hammer films, as well! I was introduced to them through my vampire fetish years back(before the Twilight franchise ruined vampires) but I've found I like some of their non-vampire flicks as well. "Nightmare" was a really good one! Kinda had a "Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte", vibe.
Fright Night is such a classic! One of my absolute favorites! I love Chris Sarandon! And I always thought his roommate in the film was a great character. :chuckle: Not to mention Evil Ed! I actually have some Fright Night comics from when I was young. :emb:

I love Fright Night! I forgot to mention that one and I just watched that a few nights ago. Yes i love Sarandon, too. All the actors were excellent and I loved the old Victorian houses they were living in.

Ooo there was this movie called 'Gates of Hell' and its very hard to find. That movie used to spook me right out when I was a little girl. And speaking of comics, I have a great collection of E.C. comics that the Tale From the Crypt series were made from. They are the best horror and sci-fi comics I have ever read so far.

Gates of Hell sounds really familiar...I'll have to see if VideoDrome has it. Oh, reminds me, have you(or anyone) seen Suspiria? I never saw the whole thing but it's freaky and surreal...anyway, I saw it in the Midnight Movie section so I gotta watch the whole thing!

Man, I would love to have some of those comics, Mountain! Super cool! I have a few Lovecraft comics, Anne Rice and such. Also, not really comic format but there was a series called Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children that had some cool short stories and interesting artwork. I have a couple of those, too. And The Maxx- love The Maxx(great in animation form)!

I just watched a movie on Netflix called The Signal. It was pretty decent. It had some iffy moments as is often the case with low budget movies but it was not what I was expecting at all. It was one of those movies that had a lot going for it and was actually pretty awesome in many ways. It was in three parts and each part, I believe, had a different director. It had a lot of moments I could see being used in "truther" videos too since the premise of the movie is that a signal sent out by the t.v. turns people homicidal and messes their thinking up etc.

If you get the chance check it out.

come at the king....you best not miss
