I can't guarentee that the whole film is uploaded but I am pretty sure it is easy to find on the net

Though Clive Barker is probably best known for the Hellraiser series; I liked some of his other films better(not knocking Hellraiser- I dig that, too).

There was some show he was going to be on called Happy Town which looked Twin Peak-ish; didn't see it but I wanted to just cause he was in it. I think it probably got canceled.

Yeah...it was OK Gilly. I can understand how it might appeal to 'younger' audiences more than the original, which is really the only reason to do it, imo. Doesn't justify pointless remakes however, but it is usually is down to money.

I much preferred the original, personally. As for the frighteners...I loved that film.

Speaking of 'originals'...I happen to have a crisp copy of 'When A Stranger Calls' in my cupboard. It is one of my all time faves. I understand 'they' also redid it recently, but I could not bring myself to watch it. If anybody knows if the original has been remastered at all, please let me know. The copy I have is doable, but it's a bit dark and grimey due to the age of the film.



Oh, and Gilly...have you checked the children?

Just found this, also starring Carol Kane from the original...I never knew it even existed! That's my evening planned out.

I love Carol Kane! I adored her growing up; right along with Madeline Kahn & Terri Garr.
I thought When A Stranger Calls was good but I don't recall the sequel.

I am ashamed to say I have not seen The Frighteners! I know it was recommended to me before so I think I'll have to hunt it down. I've seen so many horror flicks but there are so many I haven't seen. Just the other week, I saw Dolls & it was awesome! I couldn't believe I'd never watched it!
