Equality means no hierarchy, no inequality. It means that everyone is at the same level, with none over another.
In order to judge, condemn and interdict another's behaviour you must deem them, their values and their actions inferior to you, your values and your actions. This is a “hierarchy”, a situation of inequality, where one (the judger, condemner and interdicter) is placed above another (the judged, condemned and interdicted).
So egalitarianism and “judging, condemning and interdicting” are incompatible. If you “judge, condemn and interdict” another, you are acting contrary to egalitarianism.
Meaning that “judging, condemning and interdicting” is incompatible with Liberalism, as liberalism is a political philosophy founded on the principles of equality and liberty.
So turning a blind eye to crime (ie: not judging, condemning and interdicting it) is part and parcel of Liberalism.
Liberalism is the dominant ideology of the post-war era, especially in the media. It is the driving force behind the “nothing is right or wrong” sexual and social revolution.
Hence liberalism created the environment in which Savile was left to abuse children by people (in the BBC, in newspapers, in the police and in the NHS) who KNEW what he was doing but who because of liberalism lived in a moral desert because it promotes egalitarianism and egalitarianism is incompatible with “judging, condemning and interdicting” others.
Which also explains much of the apathy and moral confusion seen today, in the face of an increasingly sexualised society (especially the sexualisation of children) created by the increased influence of liberalism. Liberalism morally-disarms you. It is released into society like a pathogen to decay and paralyse your moral sense so that you do not act against abuse.
