Nice one Stars!

This food all looks rather more appetising than the cheese butty I just ate for lunch.

Bats (The Good Guys)
by Virginia Calder

On a warm summer night, from towns east to west,
The mosquitoes will bite without stopping to rest.

But at twilight the bats are out ready to eat
Those annoying mosquitoes before they retreat.

Echolocation is a bats way
Of sending out echoes that bounce off its prey.

When sound waves return to its ears a bat knows
Where a flying bug is and can track where it goes.

As they zoom through the night with eyes so keen,
They swoop to the ground to eat bugs they've seen.

One little brown bat will often devour
Hordes of mosquitoes in just an hour.

There's never a danger when bats are in flight.
It's bugs, not people they attack in the night.

The farmer is pleased because bats are hi pride,
They prove much better than a pesticide.

American biscuits, well we call them scones...and we call cookies biscuits...but there is a certain type of biscuit which we call cookies... A Chocolate Chip Cookie isn't the same thing as a Rich Tea biscuit,...but I think Chocolate Chip Cookies are still classed as a biscuit

Bread rolls...we call them baps :D

EDIT: Just in! Chocolate Chip Cookies are just biscuits. I repeat. Chocolate Chip Cookies are just biscuits. As you were :D

It is French. Derived from a latin word meaning 'made small'.

And yes, American menus are just wrong.

You're menu's are not correct when I need a translator just to get something edible to eat :umm:

I've said it before...I ordered a hamburger once in London, I was not positive it was going to be a "hamburger" until I had it sitting in front of me. You people are just WEIRD! When I am not positive what I ordered is what I think I ordered, there is some serious issues there :P

*holds hands up* hey, you asked what Grits were, I answered... I can't help it if you don't like what it is :coffee:

BYOB is Bring Your Own Beer
BYOK is Bring Your Own Keg
MOTH is Moonshine On The House

Do we really need to go over any other abbreviations for the proper ways of the southern states?

Some other lingo you may wish to be acquainted with should you ever visit:

-Gigging is the practice of hunting fish or small game with a gig or similar multi-pronged spear.
-Cow tipping is the purported activity of sneaking up on a sleeping, upright cow and pushing it over for one's entertainment.
-A snipe hunt, a form of wild-goose chase that is also known as a fool's errand, is a type of practical joke that involves experienced people making fun of credulous newcomers by giving them an impossible or imaginary task.
-8 Second Ride was already explained to IAm (something to be proud of when it involves a bull... an insult when it involves a man).
-Skinny Dippin' involves stripping off all your clothes and jumping in the nearest water source.
-Tractor Pull involves pulling things (can also use trucks).
-Mud Stock involves a shit load of mud, annually held somewhere in Oklahoma, lots of titties and mud wrestling.
-Hooters is a BBQ joint with the waitstaff having big boobs and little tops.
