Have you seen the recruiters? The way they go after kids, and sell them the army like it's the greatest thing in the world. And a lot of these kids live in small towns with very low employment. For many, the army is the only choice they have. Some who join the army want to serve their country, save the world from the "bad guys", they're more the sucker, but have still been sold absolute bullshit by the government/media, etc.

There are a few factors involved with why people join up, it's a combination of things. Some just do it because they're psychos.

We gotta stop making these excuses and hold the parents responsible for letting these kids join the Army.

It's the only way forward.

If a kid is born in a small town with very low employment that is the kids parent who made that decision.

Same could be said about parents of starving children in the 3rd world.

I'm tired of these stupid excuses, Don't have a kid you can't afford to feed straight up....

So you complied with all your parents wishes and dictats did you RA?
No-one else influenced any of your decisions, right or wrong.
I also have to assume you are not a parent either.

What happens in situations where an area may have full employment then some huge company goes bust or pulls out overnight?
Then there's nothing and no cash to move elsewhere
Parents decision eh? Their fault.

So now there's no employment should they start to cull off their kids?

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'til their judgment day comes
Yeah!

Now in darkness world stops turning
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs have the power
Hand of God has struck the hour
Day of judgment, God is calling
On their knees the war pig's crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan laughing spreads his wings
Oh lord yeah!

Not entirely what I asked you but I'll take what I can get.
So anyway, you decided to take their advice on that topic, yes?

Ok. I'm not gonna play cat and mouse.
YOU took their advice, therefor YOU made the decision, not your parents, YOU.

You think it's a co-incidence that, in most countries, the age you can sign up is also the age where parental consent is not longer a requirement?

Lots of influences play upon people's decision making processes everyday.
Why do you think they have been using celebrities to sell you shit since forever?

The military are uber experienced at that game. Let's face it, they are selling the hardest gig, your life for a meagre wage to protect or expand some fat cat's investments.
No-one is gonna stampede for that, so they fill the shop window with guns and adventure and status and a mountain-load of mythology.

People have fallen for it for an awful long time.
Huge numbers against parental advice.

Your world view can be very simplistic at times man.

Poverty keeps armies filled with soldiers, in the west at any rate.

A soldier is an ex man. Handing all of his decision making processes and choices to someone else. It's pretty strange when you think about it... I suppose some people just need to be told what to do.

A soldier might also have nothing to lose... if there's nothing for him in his town. Maybe it's a "fuck it, what else is there?" kind of attitude.

You could say all the same things about people employed by others to an extent though.

I'd argue that we all need someone to tell us what to do occasionally.
Life is a complex game and the observations and experiences of others can often help us navigate it better.

I was talking more about giving yourself up, handing yourself over to someone else to the point of actually ending another man's life because you've been told to.
Becoming a willing pawn in the elite's war games. A tool to be used to further the interests of corporations. The problem is, these people that join up think they're doing good, saving us from the terrorists. Maybe others just see it as a job.

Your world view can be very simplistic at times man.

Point taken, i understand what you are trying to say and i respect that Feather.

But as for me having a simplistic world view i wan't you to think real hard about what your saying now.

1. I doubt anyone who is both a member of SZ & DIF have simplistic world view's...tbh :redcheck:

2. I'm not sure having a complex world view about Army,War,Death is a good thing. :blkx:

That's exactly why bitterness is the downfall of Humanity and it gets right back into the OP with a direct example.

What I meant by that RA is that you tend to grip onto a thing and not let go to the detriment, dismissal and destruction of any thing you may have contributed. Then you plead oppresion and suppression of fre speech when people get tired listening and tell you to give it a rest.

The 'tribal' thing in your manning thread.
The goddam embarrassing fucking 'sceptre' nonsense in your royal rants
The 'blame the parents decisions' in so many other areas.

The 3 things in bold I stand by what i said and won't waiver until proven otherwise.

1. As for The 'tribal' thing examples like Rwanda and Chicago prove that perspective to be accurate.

2. It's hard for me to bring up the Diamond Jubilee celebration and rule of the sceptre without getting banned.

3. Yes, patriotic parents send their teenage sons off to kill people in foreign lands.

These are 3 of the most serious issues with humanity on planet earth today so respect my freedom of speech.

RA you have the absolute right to utilise your freedom of speech to illustrate that you are clueless, with racist undertones and that you fail to grasp no-one on this site is a royalist and no-one would be banned for having a go at the Diamond Jubilee, ever!

Why are the parents patriotic though RA? They've grown up in a sea of lies and bullshit too. Also, what parent wants their kid to go off to war to get killed, patriotic or not? I think it boils down to people are idiots :D So pliable, so gullible, there's one born every minute. But who is to blame there, the people for being gullible, or the keepers of the knowledge, the elite, the manipulators, for conning them?

You're entitled to your opinions though, I respect your resolve :D The sceptre stuff still bugs me though :chuckle:
