Feather was correct in that I was referring to the fact that had a website been sued and shutdown, it would no longer be around. I was unsure if Ent was being humorous in his post (though, not really), hence my post.

I'm seriously considering just never posting anything again however...

I have posted cases of internet forums being sued. It's not the case they will be closed down I guess if they don't keep repeating the action that brought the libel action.
What occurs is they have to pay money to the injured party.
It might be that the server owners decide to cancel the forum due to this type of action, why would anyone want to join a forum, and then post posts that could bring an end to the forum, or libel the facilitators yes it could be re-established elsewhere, or on the other hand we could all just agree not to post accusations of child abuse about individuals, not because we're scared or we're champagne anarchists but because it's a stupid thing to do.

I certainly don't class myself as an anarchist, I don't want this forum to start posting posts/creating threads about 'child abusers' based on hear say, or based on evidence that has yet to be legally proven, I think it would make it a better place to remain detached from child abuse as a category for threads/posts.
Anyone wanting to do so might like to go try their luck with doing so on Facebook or Twitter, or other organizations that can afford to pay the legal costs that such actions could bring upon them. :thumbup:
