That is a good idea Angel, problem arises when...
Some men are more like the women folk and some women are more like the men folk (playing for opposite sides and such), so they/we would have to go lurk in both areas for varying reasons...
Like: lesbian hangs out with men, except that time of the month and needs to talk to women... gay hangs out with the women, except when he has erectile dysfunction and needs to talk to men.
OR...
Some women like working in the shed, but still need womenfolk to talk to... some men like working in the kitchen, but still need menfolk to talk to.

That's a good idea Jane. Generally, men don't like this kind of talk. Mention the womb and they run a mile. :chuckle:

Hey, you're an aromatherapist aren't you? Any good tips for PMT essential oils? Also, I have a late period from time to time, when that happens it's quite troublesome, very bad PMT that goes on for ages and other things. Won't go into gorey details because it will scare the men. I read that clary sage, juniper and a few others can help induce late periods. Any advice on essential oils and women's stuff? Sorry for all the questions. :emb:

My girls and I synched while they were still living at home...but I can't say it was at full moon, sometimes it was new moon...but that's because they took contraception.

I've gone from PMT to what they inform me is Peri-Menopause...WTF!
Anyways, think I have just taken a jump straight into menopause. Been you know whating for...well, it'll be 3 weeks on Tuesday, so if it hasn't stopped over the week end, I guess I'll have to trundle off to doc's at the beginning of the week for a hormone test. :(

Diva cup... lovely invention, wash it, boil it, let it sit til you need it again. Saves on money and trying to figure out what to do with that other crap when its done for, and it does not leak toxins into your system resulting in misfires in the brain due to chemical changes. I assume the moon cup is similar. Can't use if you have any type of operation in that area, damage or have recently given birth though.

You lucky so & so. You won't catch me complaining when it clears off.

Beware that the Dr's often know little of what they speak! One told me, after blood tests, that I was nowhere near menopause because I had a very high estrogen level, and the same week, another Dr in the same surgery told me I was - some funny word describing the being on the brink of menopause, but it was a different made up name than the one your Dr made up, Angel. But what about the high estrogen? Erm - well possibly you had an outrageously high level before, and now it might have just dropped to high. :hmm:

@ ahoy oi......we'll invite you over for cake every now and again....like your birthday!

@ Lesley...of course it's fine to call me Jane. Yes there are brilliant oils for PMT...that's how me and my girls got through it without scratching each others eyes out! I see you're online while I type this...so I've got my oils and dowser out and I'll see what it throws up for YOU.....I'll PM you the results if you'd prefer rather than putting them on here?

Am not - wrong angle & it leaks. Very heavy blood loss & it can't cope - plugs, but remove plug & whoosh - hence having to hose yourself down every couple of hours.

let the hair pulling, eye scratching, and bitch slapping begin

Yes you are doing it wrong :aargh: ... flip the bastard inside out so it isn't quite as long and doesn't get jostled while in there, stick your finger up with it and make sure the cervix is on the inside, twist once, then push the bottom up to create a suction... no falling out or bloody mishaps. :spank:

This is assuming your using an actual cup and not those bloody whelps that tampax or always came out with (instead cups) that could fit an elephant like a freaking diaphragm. :chuckle:

And heavy blood loss doesn't mean anything if your emptying it at regular intervals. You can loose 6-12 ounces a day and still make it through a 24 hour period without a mess

The menopause seems scary , no one ever tells you about it.

I have no idea what to expect maybe getting hot flushes but I'm sure there is more to it than that

Do you think tampons perhaps are a factor in cervical cancer?

@ Jane, thanks. :)

Dowsing, wow. Thanks :). :rose: You can PM if you like, but I don't mind either way. :)

Good quality multi B vitamins definitely help with the monthly cycle (but it's no magic cure). I forgot to take them over the last few weeks and I'm having one hell of a scary period!

If anyone else has some tips, let's hear them. :)

No, it's when you come to empty & rinse - they're insufficient to hold the capacity of a very heavy loss. So, properly inserted, they don't leak, BUT when you come to freshen up, it's like psychoville. I expect they're fine for a lighter flow, but worse than useless if you lose a lot.

I beg to differ - can use a super tampon + night pad, & within 20 minutes have leaked, so ridiculous blood loss, even with very frequent changing does make a huge difference.

*Edit* this is mooncups - don't know what the elephant diaphrams are.
