No, it's when you come to empty & rinse - they're insufficient to hold the capacity of a very heavy loss. So, properly inserted, they don't leak, BUT when you come to freshen up, it's like psychoville. I expect they're fine for a lighter flow, but worse than useless if you lose a lot.

Lost enough in the past few weeks last time I was admitted I was considered anemic. Was using the cup prior to last hospital visit... didn't run into this problem... you just wipe down with a wet wipe and call it good each time after cup is back in. :) So, you're doing it wrong :P :chuckle:

Have we managed to scare WUB and Oi off yet? Or do we need to really get out the heavy arsenal?

Dowsing, wow. Thanks :). :rose: You can PM if you like, but I don't mind either way. :)

Good quality multi B vitamins definitely help with the monthly cycle (but it's no magic cure). I forgot to take them over the last few weeks and I'm having one hell of a scary period!

If anyone else has some tips, let's hear them. :)

Done Lesley....I'll PM the result to you....client confidentiality and all that!

I have been taking sage capsules...they are magic for night sweats and mood swings stuff! But unfortunately I haven't had the dosh to re-order any....really bad August trading....anyways, I'll have the money in a few days, so i'll definately be ordering them up again.

Thanks Jane. :)

Do you think an infusion of sage leaves would be helpful?

I find a wet wipe would be completely insufficient. Are you talking about moon cups, Stars?

Black cohosh is meant to be good too Lesley. Quite expensive though, & I didn't find them helpful, but some people do.

Diva cup...not moon cup as I have yet to see them sold here. Been using the American version for almost 3 years up til recently. I googled them, besides a little difference in appearance, they are the same thing.

I reply to you again please? I have to PM Lesley, then I'll do you, and I need you to be online as I go to your profile page to 'pick up' your energies so to speak as that's where your energies are most concentrated...hope that makes sense.

Yes, that's the one! This is only the third time it has happened. The first was 4-5 years ago, so I'm sure it's nothing serious. I could do with getting some iron in me.

Another tip. This one is for veggies. Black beans and adzuki beans are good sources of iron if you eat them regularly.

Has anyone tried evening primrose oil capsules.

I bought a big jar of them once, years ago, but shot-putted them at my husband when he was being especially arrogant (inconsiderate sod ducked & the jar smashed) and never got round to replacing them.

They're supposed to be good, aren't they?

Great for helping to induce labor... used them for that.
Great for post partum depression... used them for that.
Great for hormone caused breakouts... used them for that.

No idea what they do for that time of the month though, maybe Jane will know.

Hmmm...& these magical potions don't come cheap, so then you have to decide whether to give them a fair crack of the whip for 3 months, or hang on to your money instead.
